I make my friends in the strangest ways. Usually, I start out not liking them. There’s the girl who used to come and decorate my desk for holidays. I finally complained to the VP – “Why does that WOMAN come and touch my stuff? Can’t she decorate someone ELSES desk?”

Acha in Comfy Clothing

O hey, it’s Acha.  How’ve you all been?  I popped out of hiding for a moment to mention that The Closet has some new clothes. I’ve known Bambi63 Rehula for years, ever since Creamy Cooljoke dragged me out shopping to her original build way back in 07.  Her clothing was as whimsical and interesting then as it is now, and the shop has been through many, many iterations.  For a while it was on Trey Dope right next to one of my favorite quirky pose shops, Lotta.  And who could forget trying really hard to find TheCloset In Shelter, the slightly more rock-n-roll line that was hidden behind a dusty old door in her build?  After a bit of radio silence, Bambi63 produced some new things.  I love this midi-skirt, and I love the draped hippie top too.  She’s got “Mori Gyaru” down to a science!  Go see her latest items, and some super-awesome swimwear, here.

Anna's Many Murders

I have been to see Anna’s Many Murders, the recent sim installation from Bryn Oh, a half dozen times. It’s an intriguing sim and has so much to see and explore that I hope you all take a trip there. One of the most striking scenes is the fox leaping, pouncing on the small Bosch-like creature running away.

It seems so ominous and reminds me of so many things from Breughel to Bosch to Hitchcock’s North by Northwest. I love so much about it that I simply had to shoot some pics that illustrated something of what it makes me think of.

The Bluebell

The delicate touch of blue in the skirt of the Suzana dress made me think of Emily Bronte’s The Bluebell and the amazing poetry installation at Empyreal Dreams. While most of the poems they capture so beautifully are portrayed predominantly in black and white, The Bluebell is a riot of color. 

The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air :
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s care.

Chic Will Be Spelled Ch1c for the next Two Weeks

Ch1c Management is celebrating its first anniversary in Second Life with a blowout celebration. Almost 100 stores have created something special to celebrate and the theme is Ch1c. Ad you can see, the folks at SLebster’s Dictionary have revised the spelling of Ch1c for the duration. Speaking of ch1c, I have to laud the design of this body suit from Nemesis that I have paired with a Lelutka skirt. It comes with two sleeve prims that you can wear or leave off depending on the style you want.
