Urban sensuality

Hello folks!
What’s up? The sky, I know 😀

Yesterday I was trying some great poses from Studio Sidhe and I liked them so much that I decided to use them for my new post on here. Well, actually I used just one pose, my favourite of the whole pack, but I highly suggest you to go check out all of them.

Not that i miss you...

The awesome summer sweater is one of the latest releases from *Crazy* Clothes, it’s fresh, comfy and sexy at the same time: just pay attention to the subtle see-through look………Intriguing, isn’t it? 😉
I love loan Jogiches creations, that mix of urban sensuality which reveals the pure essence of her style.

Malinconia

I purchased this hairstyle some weeks before the Hair Fair, then the HF came and i totally forgot about it. Yesterday i was going through my messy inventory and saw it and i immediately wore it ‘cause it’s absolutely fabulous! It’s a gem from (fashionably dead) and one of my fav hairstyles ever, I know that for sure! It’s called “Olivia Watches Melrose Place“. Cool name.

Cassseroles for Kesseret

My good friend and peer Kesseret Steeplechase lost her mother last Friday suddenly and unexpectedly.

Where I’m from, when there is a death, the matrons of the family descend upon the household of the deceased with casseroles and desserts. The idea is that the grieving family not have to worry about things like food. Food is there, ready and waiting. All you have to do is eat it. Decadent desserts, rich savory casseroles to be consumed while you wade through the process of burying your beloved dead.

My casserole for Kess is full of love and hugs. It’s full of thanks yous, and I’m sorry’s. It’s got a huge, huge amount of booze and nudie pics as well. Cuz, we like that stuff. It’s also got marshmallows on top. Because marshmallows are good.

I love you Kess and I wish I was there. But I can’t be. So please accept this casserole with all my love.

New skin tone from Ugly Duck

I’ve been wearing darker skins lately (perhaps it’s a summer thing?), so I was overjoyed to see that Ugly Duck came out with Fade’s darkest skin yet, the Babette skin in Midsummers Night shade.  In general, Fade’s skins have a beautiful deep matte quality. Nothing glaring, pixelated or shiny here, it’s all one smooth wash of shade and highlight.  The musculature is natural, with a tiny hint of normal stomach and a pouty, round arse.  The skins come with two tit sizes, B and C cups. I’m wearing the C cup here.  I also like the natural way the chest bones sit above the breasts, and the hint of rib below.  The lips are my favorite part of the skin, though, full without being completely collagen-unnatural.  Go see if it suits your figure over at Ugly Duck!

Bandana Day

bandana day_006

One of the great elements of Hair Fair is that it asks for more participation from us than just shopping, blogging or building. Each year, it asks all of us to take off our hair and don a bandana in solidarity with those who are going through cancer treatment and losing their hair. Hair is very precious to us. Most of us when asked to describe ourselves, start with our hair color Our hairstyles are our signs to the world, communicating our interests, tastes and values. When people lose their hair, that signifier that said they are chic, or sporty, or rebellious is lost and replaced with a new signifier – Cancer Patient.
Bandana Day 2011
That is why Wigs For Kids is such a critical support to children who are going through cancer treatment. Children are already struggling to establish their identity, to individuate – and when cancer treatment robs them of such a critical signifier as hair, it’s important to restore that as best we can.

Things unknown but longed for still

FLF is insidious, and I hope that’s on purpose. This morning I got to So Many Styles, bought the cute FLF item, and then got immediately sucked into this boyfriend jacket. Keep it up, designers! Definitely use FLF as a way to promote your other stuff, it totally works on me! I think I was drawn most to the 80s Dallas feel of this jacket. Shoulderpads, wow. My favorite sweater from 7th grade was pink with silver applique and shoulderpads the size of throw pillows. I’m so glad they’re back; makes it so much easier to nap during Social Studies. I don’t know what the inspiration was for the rest of my outfit. Showing off my nice Amacci-made legs, I reckon. Also, I’m wearing a cute new necklace from Schadenfreude. At my day job, the caged bird reference is especially relevant… Have lovely weekends, y’all!

Medium Length Hair – Hair Fair 2011

ContactSheet

I like medium length hair styles that give you the softness and free-flowing hair of the long styles without any of the intersections and pose difficulties of long hair. Sadly, it is one of the least common hair lengths produced in Second Life. That is odd, because medium length hair is pretty common in real life. As with the other composites of hair styles from the Hair Fair, you can see the larger pictures in a set on my Flickr.

Hair Fair Long Hair Styles

ContactSheet

There’s a lot of wonderful styles of long hair at Hair Fair. Here’s a sampling of what you can find. You can see the full size pictures in a set on my Flickr.

After shooting all the long styles, I ran over to Silent Hill, a role-playing sim, and popped on an OOC/Visitor tag to snap some pictures. It’s a gorgeous, moody retro Americana sim that looks like the perfect setting for something scary.
