I was having my morning coffee with Gogo and we were talking about our MUST HAVE list from THE ARCADE this round. Nearly at the same time, we said “Tres Blah”.
What is it about the nicknacks from Tres Blah that inspire frenzy in some of us? The dainty cuteness? I don’t even know, but I do know that there hasn’t been a round that I didn’t get AT LEAST some of the pieces to her sets. I’m mixing an matching stuff from the new COTTAGE DU JOUR with older pieces, as she is thoughtful enough to coordinate them gently.
The Arcade opens tomorrow, and I’m on the hunt for her rares now.

Arcade opens on the 1st and that means I have to make sure my affairs are in order. Rent is paid. Groceries purchased. I put on my sensible walking shoes and set out to stock up on the supplies that a pixel girl needs to make her world go round. This new crazy and fun hair (that the sushi IS optional with) is going to be at THE ARCADE oh in just DAYS! Can you believe Arcade is almost here! I kind of love this hair, it reminds me a lot of the days when people made silly things just because they could. Arcade always brings back a lot of the whimsy of my early days of SL to me.
I’m also showing off the amazing group gift from PINK FUEL. Why are you not in this update group? Seriously she included SLINK Appliers? HOW freaking generous is that? Eyes, lips skin and appliers just as a thank you for being in her group. Mochi is so generous, she amazes.
It’s not too late to run over to MY ATTIC to check out everything that’s new over there, this skirt and tank from LACUNA are a pretty summer look.

I used to work with a girl whose mother was a very pale, freckled Irish redhead. Her father was a black as night Colombian. Finding makeup with a nightmare for her. Her skin tone was dark but pale, and everything looked wrong. I remember when her tone of foundation was discontinued, she was distraught.
You see a lot of complaining in SL about dark skin tones, or the lack thereof, but at least it’s not a problem we MUST live with. We can try new things, branch out, and flip into different colors on a whim.
In SL, we are whatever color we want to be, which is a luxury ladies of color do not have in RL. Continue reading

I hadn’t logged into SL in about 7 days, I’ve been busy and dealing with RL shit. Anywho, I realized that my tier was probably due and figured I should log in and do something about that. I also remembered that MINA put out a fabulous hair that screamed “HYBIE” and tped over to the MY ATTIC event over at the deck. Getting to to the end of a goal can be a grind. It’s there in sight, but you have to keep going to make it happen. You can’t let up or you won’t get there, you have to keep making things happen and being on your game even though it’s so close, SO SO SO CLOSE.
That’s been my week. I had these photos done early Monday AM. I had them editted on Tuesday. But since then, I’ve been driving toward a goal and could barely think until it was done.
The exhaustion of having completed it is upon me, the relief, the feeling of overwhelming AAAAAAAAHHHHH and it shows by how befuddled I am this morning.
