Cold rainy days are to be expected, but a good hot meal makes me feel so much better most days. My new home is settling in to place for me rather nicely, and despite my typist being away for several days, I’m in a cozy place without her while I wait. I can’t ask for much more. Continue reading

I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will.
Charlotte Bronte, who wrote Jane Eyre, the unforgettable heroine who said those strong, independent and feminist words, was not the first feminist. However, I don’t think it is an accident that the word feminist was coined within five years of her classic novel. I have been thinking about feminism and Jane Eyre lately, and most particularly this, “I am a free human being with an independent will.” The other day, a Washington Post opinion piece focused on how women are expected to surround their ideas and opinions with weak, soothing qualifiers to protect the tender male ego. It imagined famous quotes as said by women complying with the cultural demand that they efface their ideas. It’s funny and painful because it is so true. It is sad that more than 150 years later, a woman saying “I am a free human being with an independent will,” is still revolutionary.

Halloween Treats Abound
Unless you are new around here, you already know that Halloween melts my butter, and Halloween treats and decorations REALLY makes me happy faced. So today was pretty joyful for me when I finally realized what WHAT NEXT had out for Collabor88 AND their offering for FLF.
I mean, it’s like a Halloween Extravaganza! LOOK AT THESE TREATS I WANT THEM ALL.
I just heard that in RL there is a bakery near me with $4 Halloween Gingerbread men. I want one now. Continue reading
Hunts And Cat Food
I’ll be edgy, I thought whimsically, and wear ripped hose. Then I spent the rest of my day wondering why my hose wouldn’t rez. Clearly, edgy isn’t my cup of tea.
I decided to check out the Ricielli hunt yesterday after I picked up some cat food (and dammit a new cat) and I was pleased with how simple the hunt was. Really, not much of a hunt, just a clever sale, pink balls around the store that are numbered with corresponding items in them – you can use THIS key. Continue reading
Cosmic Spider
I’ve seen belts as a skirt, but never belts as a top. I’m not even sure what to call this, it sort of looks like a corset as well. I am wearing it as is, but I could see this with a shirt underneath, maybe something a pirate would wear, or some sort of warrior maiden. This is the new offering from Plastik, to be released at the mainstore. There are 5 galactic colourations, which have to be my favs of the series. There is also a large assortment of other colours and patterns, so it is worth a look, if you want a beltstraptopcorsetthingy.
Lake Serpent
Everyone knows about sea serpents, but long ago, somewhere in the history books, knowledge of lake serpents got lost. Maybe it was those few pages that got ripped out, to be used as kindling for the fire. Or, heaven forbid, someone got creative when in the loo.
There also seems to be an utter lack of information on the fact that, when needed, serpents can actually shift into humanoid form, to preform certain tasks.
As The Fog Rolls In
I’m settling into my new place and I’ve got something important to remind you, while I lounge around watching the fog come in. The ARCADE is only open ONE MORE FARKING DAY. Ok if you haven’t been yet – IT IS TIME. The machines are still there and they hope to see you soon I’m pretty sure. One more day. Well two days if you count today.
This lovely set from MUDHONEY is part of the offering right now and it’s got some great pieces for comfortable living. I believe firmly in cozy and welcoming decor. I had forgotten MUDHONEY was in this time! OOOPS! Continue reading

We know of Match.Com, Plenty of Fish, eHarmoney, Tinder, and the list goes on, but what do we know of Medieval Dating for the Common Hedgewitch?
There Are Shadows
There are shadows of the heart and shadows of the mind. When both types of shades plague you, it’s hard to know where to turn. Lingering, long cast reminders of where light once played splay across life and leave you with nothing. Continue reading
Crazy Days of Disarray
I could leave one picture here and have you think I’m mostly settled into my new SLife, that I’m not living out of boxes and trying to sort out where my things are or what should go where in my new house.
This would be a lie. Continue reading
