Labors of Love
The things we do for love…Take this lovely dress made by Monica Outlander of MiaMai. One of the frustrating elements of living with cancer for Squinternet is that she would still love to create, she still has ideas and her imagination is still dancing along the runway of glamour and whimsy. The pain, though, of sitting at the computer and working prevents her from realizing her ideas. Monica understood that frustration as only another artist can and offered herself as an amanuensis for Squinternet’s idea, collaborating with her in creating this first MiaMai for Donna Flora dress – a new release at the Donna Flora store.

Think of a Title
I started this post this morning, but got distracted and decided to relax, read a book and cuddle with Oscar, my cat, instead. However, back to the blog! I love this dress from Milk Motion for Collabor88 July. It made with sheer floral tulle over a silk sheath with a serrated hem and sleeves. I love the color-on-color subtlety. I chose this nude version which is even more subtle than the many other color options you can choose from at Collabor88.

Only 24 More Hours for Your Tropical Escape At MY ATTIC
W.Winx and Flair have an adorable set of beach towel gear at My Attic and it’s going to not be available for the awesome 95L price after tomorrow. The towels work for one or two, but alas I am but one.
They’re full of fun fancy posing animations though and are gorgeous rich tones, perfect against your amazing beach tan. Continue reading
Tangerine
Tangerine, she is all they claim
With her eyes of night and lips as bright as flame
Tangerine, when she dances by, senoritas stare and caballeros sigh
And I’ve seen toasts to Tangerine
Raised in every bar across the Argentine
Yes, she has them all on the run, but her heart belongs to just one
Her heart belongs to Tangerine

Summer Is My Social Season
I would never have thought it but it seems like I’m running a daily habit of being social . It’s a nice change from being a hermit in my own house, or out shooting on location. I have now, three days in a row, actually seen and interacted with other toons that I calls friends.
My friend Isla invited me over to her place for some night swimming and visiting. Dani was there too, but I only got half of her in the pic so I cropped her out. PLEASE LOVE ME ANYWAY DANI! Continue reading
Hiatus No More
My computer is back! New logic board, new graphics card and new adapter. I actually got it back last night, but then my wireless router when fuzzy and I could not access the internet. It almost made me feel as though the internet was picking on me. However, it’s fixed now and I am back. It felt good to log in and put on a new outfit and freshen up a bit. I even did a manicure, using the new polish applicators from FLAIR.
I picked up this jacket and skirt last month while I was hunting around Mimikri for a good jacket to wear with something. This jacket did not work for what I needed at the moment, but I loved it and the skirt that coordinates with it. Actually, I pulled the jacket from one color set and the skirt from another just to have a little extra contrast, but for folks who like their jackets and skirts to match, they can buy them in matching colors, too. I love the prints and the casual elegance of the styling. Continue reading
Go Big or Go Home
Giz Seom goes big. Look at the size of that print and of those sleeves. That is the hallmark of a designer confident and unafraid to take risks. I love the floral chintz fabric even though in careless hands it could look like a sofa cushion or the remnants of curtains ripped from the windows to make a gown to impress a certain dashing gentleman. But these are not careless hands, so it looks bold, fresh and ready to conquer.

E is for Eellogofusciouhipoppokunurious (Thanks, Arora!)
I noticed when doing my credits for this post that I have two “E” items which had me asking plurk for more. . The first is this cute leather mini from E! (see the exclamation point) which is Eclectic Apparel, the work of Eclectic Wingtips. It comes with a hud that allows you to change the metal findings from gold to silver to black and back. You also can change the upper “belt/sash” portion with several color and print options. It’s sassy and short and just the perfect choice for the new ruffled top from La Penderie de Nicole, which also comes with options, including black with several choices in contrast ruffle lining. Tango
I am just home from a long day at the hospital for some tests, so this will be short and sweet. The dress is a gorgeous easily draped long shift with an easy bateau neckline. By Nylon Pinkney of Nylon Outfitters, it can be found at this month’s Collabor88. It comes in this sunshine yellow or a rainy blue – both lovely abstract prints that are works of art.
