Donna Flora added another dress to their Vintage Fair offerings. It’s a luscious little dress released in ten colors (See vendor pic 1 and pic 2.) including this glorious gold silk charmeuse. It’s amazing how beautifully shiny the silk is, but then you see the inset piping around the breasts and at the waist, and just have to marvel at Squinternet Larnia’s texturing ability.

Do you believe InMonster(s)?
I love finding a new (to me) store at events like Vintage Fair. It’s a double bonus when their designs are fresh, high fashion styles that make me happy. InMonster certainly does that. There’s so much to love about this dress, from the bright scarlet lace to the structure cap sleeves. I definitely will be keeping my eyes out for more from this high fashion brand.
Projectors Made Easy as 123
Since Gidge and I have been playing with projectors lately, a few people have checked out the tutorials and asked a few questions about how to do it. So Gidge got the great idea of setting up a pose box with the projector and light leak texture built right in along with some poses situated in the sweet spot where the projectors come together. Thus the Status Dual Projector Box 1.0 was born. It makes taking fun pictures as easy as 123. But first, let’s take a look at this gorgeous top and skirt from Baiastice for Vintage Fair. It comes in several colors and you can put the same color top and skirt together to look more like a dress, but I love hot pink and lime – they are just the perfect expression of summer. I love the easy style of the top and skirt with the great details that make it special, like the inset belt and the soft pleating at the hem of the skirt.
If you go out in the woods today
I can’t promise you would find a Teddy Bear’s Picnic, but the little bit of woods at Lettuce, home sim to Cafe Adrastea, does have the loveliest little glade of trees. A glade filled with flowers and light, though I could not resist adding a projector to give add some color to the light.
The June Party dress from Sn@tch is a floral explosion of color in itself. It’s got a very 50s silhouette with the figure hugging bodice, nipped waist and full skirt and is one of Sn@tch’s Vintage Fair creations. Ivey Deschanel made this lovely dress in six beautiful colors. The dress is made of system layers, sculpts and flexi. It’s one of the great things about Ivey and Sn@tch – the wisdom to choose the right technology for the dress. She makes excellent mesh, but knows that not every piece is best served with the latest technology.
Don’t You Mess with the Messer

This stunning gown from Loovus Dzevavor for Vintage Fair is another of those gowns that I can imagine being worn by one of the great singers, singing songs of passion and power. Perhaps even that old, old blues wonder, Don’t Mess with the Messer
I’m gonna cross the crosser
I’m gonna cheat the cheater
I’m gonna use the user
and then beat the beater
You can’t mess with the messer
The messer gonna mess with you
O! So Chic!
Purple Moon sought retro inspiration for Vintage Fair in the classic little wool suits of Coco Chanel drawing on the familiar Chanel motifs – richly texture boucle wool fabric in classic colors and prints, piping on the seams that emphasize the structure and fit, and easy elegance. Aptly naming her suits Jackie after the woman who popularized the look in America, she featured two dramatic looks for Vintage Fair.
A very, very complex person

The red sequin cocktail gown from CIA Designs for Vintage Fair is a torch singer’s perfect accompaniment.
I’m a very very complex person
I try to improve but you see how I worsen
I’ll do anything to make you adore me,
or deplore me, but never ignore me
I got senses that I cannot control
My stomach’s like a bottomless hole
My desires command me like a slave
I’m a knave, I can hardly behave Continue reading
Devil in the Details
It’s trite but true that success and artistry is found in the details and, in this case, in Les Petits Details. That’s where I found this gorgeous and oh-so-romantic dress at Vintage Fair. Les Petits Details is new to me, which is why events like Vintage Fair can be so exciting – adding the thrill of discovery to the already proven pleasure of great fashion.
Bonne Chance
One reason I love vintage clothing is its unabashed femininity. This dress from Bonne Chance for Vintage Fair is as feminine as they come with its slender, figure-hugging silhouette and lacey white on white adornment, it’s a dress fit for jazz nights and afternoon teas.
dusk til dawn
I long for the day I have a better lappy than the one I currently use. It sucks not having shadow capabilities. I do what I can though in some pictures, I love to play around with different wind lights. I wanted to go for something a bit dark and mysterious to match my look. After all, a vampire cannot be in the daylight…. Continue reading
