Happy Birthday Truth, Or SHOULD I SAY CHARLIE
So then, today is Truth Hawk’s birthday. We’re all wishing him a Happy Birthday as good friends should but, I had a eureka moment earlier that I think I’m going to have to share.
You see, Truth and I aren’t terribly close but I do like him. As a blogger, I can honestly say he’s the dealer of one of my drugs of choice, hair. Hair baby hair mama, everywhere daddy daddy….
But, I realized something today. Today is Truth’s birthday. Today is Charlie Sheen’s birthday. Truth lives in LA. Charlie Sheen lives in LA. I NEVER SEE THEM TOGETHER. And, obviously Charlie Sheen could not worry about losing that gig on 2 and a Half Men since he OBVIOUSLY HAD HIS SL TRUTH HAIR MONEY TO FALL BACK ON. Oh yes, I’m on to you MISTER HAWKS. I HAVE SEEN THROUGH YOU RUSE.
I’m not saying, I’m JUST SAYING.

Peripatetic Posing
Whimsy Winx made some photoboxes for My Attic, the discount room at The Deck, that should have all retro and pop art lovers running to pick them up. The theme for this My Attic event is Shaken, not Stirred and Whimsy produced three boxes, Shaken, Stirred and Royale. As soon as a saw them, I thought of the dresses from Drift for Vintage Fair with their fabulous op art prints.
After I shot the set in the WinxBox, I was picking it back up from the platform and backed into the Dual Projector Pose Box from Status and with the windlight setting I was using for the other pics, it really made a striking effect, reminding me a bit of David Downtown or Rene Gruau illustrations. I could not resist snapping a few pictures because the effect seemed so cool. It really emphasized the headpiece and necklace from LaGyo that I picked up at Collabor88.

Hair Fair 2012 is rolling up on us all and fashionistas across the grid have begun their annual flail of joy.
Hair Fair will run July 14th thru July 29th and is a benefit for Wigs for Kids.
I am rolling out my Hair Fair love this year with the new release from MINA which is going to be a favorite with bloggers everywhere because it’s perfect for showing off your earrings. It’s also got a HUD for coloring and highlights which makes me smile in a sort of a mad scientist way.

Returning To Old Loves
With the CHIC2 birthday event in full swing I found myself returning to an old love, a creator I haven’t worn in a while but I’m so tickled to have rediscovered. Elemiah Designs was a love of mine back when I was a noob blogger (ohai 2008)Â and so I was excited to see that she was not only still around but had released a cute mesh dress with a fun summer texture to boot.

The Love Gacha launched this week and so I thought I’d show you a few of the goodies. The flower in my hair is a gacha item from Balderdash and comes in a beautiful rainbow of colors!
I’m also wearing the cute baseball top from SN@TCH that Cajsa got, since I live my life saying MEH nonstop, she knew I’d have to have it. I’m wearing it with the yoga pants from Somnia which are made to coordinate with the top. And now I can do yoga! Continue reading
