Sophie and I are ready for Independence Day in the US in our patriotic colors. My dress is from 22769 and is one of of the sea of fun red, white and blue items that will be released Thursday at the grand reopening of FLUX. I’m a fan of wearing flag inspired but not actually “The Flag”. That debate never ends.

It’s 11:00 and what are you doing? Well, if you go to the FAIR event, you are drinking tea in this rich brocade tea dress from 22769. The dress is a rich scarlet with a chic, modern folded bodice of silk moire. Its modern styling and traditional fabrics make a great mix of old and new.
I am wearing one of the many options for the new Nico dress from Maitreya. It comes in several colors and prints and has an easy summer style with its loose and breezy shape. It is, however, impossibly short for me. Of course, that makes it so very flexible. I could wear it with leggings as a dress or with pants as a top.

22769 has released its mesh Ethnic/African inspired collection with awesome tube dresses and tops in different patterns, silk miniskirts and shorts and what i consider the best piece of the collection, a gorgeous turban calledĀ “The Badu”.
