LOTD 10 26 11 – AUTUMN (again)

I’ve been trying to go to the different designer showcase sales around the grid lately #1 to see several designers in one location and #2 who wants to pass up a great deal on great stuff!  Well, I found these pants at The Dressing Room (can’t remember if it was the current one or last one), but they are from Fishy Strawberry – always find stuff there I like!

And as soon as I saw the pants… I KNEW they would go with the shoes I had picked at the Dressing Room the week before… wanna see them? keep reading….

1965

oct23_003

1965 was a strange year in fashion with the advent of bell-bottoms and granny dresses, one-shouldered sari dresses and metallic catsuits, flowing paisleys and the Mondrian dress. It was also the year of Edie Sedgwick, declared the “It Girl” by Vogue. Sedgwick was a fashion original with a free and rebellious style. She wore tights with nearly everything and added huge chandelier earrings, heavy eyeliner and a casual short moptop cut. She has an ease and freedom to her that made her captivating in photos. How perfect, then, is this Sedgwick dress from Ingenue for Collabor88.

LOTD – 10 25 11 – AUTUMN

My favorite time of the year… cool enough to wear a sweater in the morning, but when the sun comes out in the afternoon, you can still go sleeveless.  I went to P-10 today to look at the new release, but instead of a pair of sandals (I’m not much for sandals in the fall) I got this pair of gorgeous boots.

I absolutely LOVE the laces on the back of the boots and when you buy a single color on P-10 shoes, you get the option of changing to black or intermixing the colors as I’ve done here with the sole and heel.

If ya like this so far… keep going…..

Oscar, the Music Critic

oct23_018

I mixed Kungler's Lavinia Top with the SHI pantsuit. It came with a solid black top, but I liked the addition of this tone on tone print. I am wearing the gauntlets with a bow on the wrist that Tracy Rubble made for me for Nzuri.

I got my new cat Oscar back in June. He was 11 when I got him from the Humane Society and a bit rough around the edges what with spending eight months waiting for someone to appreciate his unique qualities. Perhaps if they had known that he was a music critic someone might have found him first and I would have missed out on his delightful quirks and wonderful conversations like this one.  I first discovered his talent while I was working on my What I Like column for Shopping Cart Disco at the computer in the kitchen. All of a sudden, I heard music playing from the bedroom and got up to check and there was Oscar sitting by the ipod which I have in a speaker base. How cute, I thought, he must have been rubbing his nose on it and turned it on.

If I Could Walk On Water

I had one of those great mornings on the grid today. I completed a set and got it out for sale, talked to my friend Dove and found this BITCHING dress from THE ICING which desperately needed me to wear it.

I forgot I had this, how is that possible? Have I worn it before? Honestly, I don’t even care. If I previously blogged this dress it’s so flawless it deserves a second run. Continue reading

A slinky number (hehe.. its called Slinky.. how clever is that!) shown in three colors here.  And if you look closely you see Miss Marcy Wilson herself, the designer in the background, in another of her sexy creations (that sexy silver number).
