For Cajsa’s lovely Donna Flora A to Z challenge, I picked the letter J. J stands for many things to me, but most of all my partner Jackal. Therefore I was happy to find a J outfit at Donna Flora (the Josie) that kind of reminded me of her. I styled myself in Jackal fashion, in a very stark color palate with an interesting skin and otherworldly elements, like these horns and eyes. Jackal is amazing at making her clothing look like natural extensions of herself, as if she’d sewn it all together for a good purpose, and these soft-looking Josie capris definitely suited this mood. Thanks again for the challenge, Cajsa! It was lovely to pay homage to two such lovely and whimsical creators.

This corset I’m wearing had been sitting in my favorites on the marketplace for a while. I saw it and was like “whoa…that’s neat-o”. Of course, I’m not sure what occasion would call for a corset with large spikes but if there is ever such occasion…I’m f’n ready! The corset has nice detail BUT it’s no mod (it has a resizer which is fine too). Perhaps I dont understand the mechanics of sculpts but I assume that if something comes with an alpha layer…it doesn’t need an invisible prim around it anymore. This has one of those..it’s really annoying because when you are standing with your arms to the side, parts go missing due to this invisible prim. So, now I have mixed feelings about my new corset. The newest mesh dress from Chantkare is made for dancing. I was checking out the March Mesh Madness event, standing with the eager hordes waiting for stuff to rez so I could actually see one article of clothing when I got an IM inviting me to a club where they were playing a set of TV theme song covers in honor of Davy Jones. So I set myself the question, “do i want to continue to swim in the lag waiting to see something – anything – or do I want to go listen to a weirdly appealing idea for a music set?”
And that’s how I ended up at Soundproof, the new club opened by Paradox Messner who has DJed at The Velvet for years. And yes, it was a fun set – full of great musical covers that I had never heard before and of course, culminating with “Hey, hey, we’re the Monkees…” As to March Mesh Madness, I am going to try staying up late and logging in after folks have gone to sleep. Just don’t everybody else try that.

I was once asked, if you could pick just one store to shop from for the rest of your Second Life, what store would it be? That’s such a hard question because so many creators bring so much diversity and beauty to my world, I don’t know how you’d ever pick.
I love Sachi Vixen of Adam n Eve, and the way she invents the girl next door to a sexy siren with great quality and style. I love Monica Outlander of Miamai’s ability to fuse a nightmare and a dream and create original concepts that you can wear. I love how Mouse of Dark Mouse makes beautiful, wearable jewelry that isn’t at all “every day” but you can in fact wear it EVERY DAY. I could go on, like how Kess textures are amazing and Gogo makes great eyeshadow and it never stops but……. Continue reading
