Like a magpie, I was immediately drawn to the glittery goodness of this dress from Liv-Glam. I love the many details that make this extraordinary from the sheer to opaque dress to the dark bronze to brilliant gold of the embellishment scattered down the front. It’s a gorgeous design. I think some of the shadows drawn onto the texture is the tiniest bit overdone, particularly under the arms, but that is more than compensated for by the lovely, stylish and flattering design. A great dress for the club, dancing or a night out with friends.
Today’s look was inspired by the retro and the metro. Big city girl and a blast from the past (also a touch of the dark side).

My quest to make a Linden home adorable is NEVER ending. I had furniture delivered while I was gone, and when I arrived home I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. I picked up the Andel set from Cheeky Pea at Collabor88 and I didn’t get all of it, now I feel silly and will have to do, I’ve reduced my prim count so much that I am reconsidering other furniture now.

Nyunyu Magic of NYU has released an adorable long blouse (or short dress) in several colors with white or beige contrasting stripes. I decided to wear the black and white because I just purchased some new jewelry that I thought would work well with the dress. Black and white also suits the mod aesthetic of its straight-line shape, while in red and white or blue and white, it has a more nautical air.
In keeping with the mod aesthetic, I decided to wear the great thigh-high suede boots from Baiastice. While boots in the Sixties and Seventies were usually knee-high, I was going for a retro vibe, not a retro costume.
Hitting the road to head out of town is both an exciting adventure and a hassle. I love to travel, I hate to leave. Generally there is nothing for it but to plunge ahead and be pretty. I find that gets me through most things. Continue reading
Sometimes, I think it would have been fun to live in the days of the traveling circus. To have side show freaks and bearded ladies, siamese twins and tattooed lizard guys or something like that. Being on the move and exploring the country and meeting people from all over. But the reason my dolly looks sad is because times were not always wonderful. Money was hard to come by and when people didn’t have money, people didn’t come see my dollies show.
What have I been up to? Closing on my first house and curing myself of some more cancer, and that’s just this week. My avatar has therefore only just now gotten around to wearing this fabulously Gelfling mesh head from fashionably Dead, a Christmas gift from my partner Ms. Jackal. I’m also traipsing around in a bunch of clothes everybody else wore half a year ago. Lucky for me my beautiful knotted pearl necklace and demiboots are new! Also new: some adorably cute house decor in the form of banners from ~silentsparrow~.
