There I was, sitting in my own house, trapped in the clothes I wore yesterday. Funny story, I cleared my cache. Funnier story, it won’t reload my inventory. Or, wouldn’t earlier. Perhaps SKYNET has changed it’s mind and will give me my things later today? The one thing it WOULD give me, was my SLINK BECKY head, and the HUDS to the skin I already had on!

Yesterday The Lab decided early AM was the perfect time for rolling restarts. I was sitting in my house, living my 2nd existence when I got a notice that I would be booted if I didn’t leave the sim in five minutes. My first thought was WHY IS GOGO RESTARTING THE SIM AT 7 AM? Alas, it wasn’t Gogo, she wasn’t online and then I realized it was The Lab.
I headed over to my studio, and got dressed, thinking I’d do a nice traditional shoot with a lovely casual release from ISON at Collabor88, except right about the time I’d gotten my wig on, again ROLLING RESTART IN MY REGION. Five minutes to move on. So, NOW WHERE? Continue reading
I had a tremendous giggle over these hats from Xen’s Hats. Textured with various fruits, they’re silly and fun.
Sometimes I just love something that was made for fun. You don’t need for it to be super meaningful or high fashion. It’s just damn fun.
When I was a noob, I bought purple hair at CAKE. My friends I came to SL with asked “Why is your hair purple?” My only response was, “Because it can be.”
That is sort of the same for these hats from Xen’s. THEY CAN BE HATS OF FRUIT – therefore they are. They are also 100% donation from Fashion for Life event so you still have time to pick them up, for no other reason than they are a fun item and a great cause.

I was browsing my inventory this morning, searching for something to wear with my earrings from Bliesen + Maitai for FASHION FOR LIFE and was reminded, due to my lack of inventory maintenance, of how many years I’ve attended Fashion for Life. It’s not something that’s ever been top of mind, like COLLABOR88, Fifty Linden Friday, or The Arcade, where I feel a RUSH and desire to go. More like, it’s something I should go to as a member of our community to support the spirit of charity and helping support American Cancer Society.
I’m lucky, genetically. There is no cancer in my family. It doesn’t mean there won’t ever be, it just means I’m not predisposed. My genes are on file at Columbia, because of different family medical issues, and I know for a fact that I carry none of the KNOWN genetic markers for any type of cancer. Continue reading

I do have a magical boat that lets me levitate, however. I’m fairly impressed by that. You should be too. Well, in fact, I’d adjusted my sit to show my shoes better then rethought that and forgot to adjust back. I figure, if I acknowledge it, then I no one can sweat me for it. I always sort of wonder if people know they are floating, or that objects around them are floating when I see this. Fashion for Life, months in the planning, is going to open within minutes. It’s a great opportunity for us shoppers to take our hard earned lindens and put them toward donating to a great cause – the American Cancer Society.

It’s true, I’m kind of a secret kimono addict. Kimono robes especially, in my youth, were a very secret addiction. I love the feel and the flowing girliness of them, even the shorties make me feel feminine and pretty. PIxicat releasing them at The Arcade this month has provided me with new loungewear for my new house. AND this way if someone drops by I’m not completely disheveled!
I’m also delighted to have the new furniture from Mudhoney for THE ARCADE. This is a lovely set, perfect for entryways areas or whatever nook or corner you’re likely to slog down your purse and have a seat after a long day being awesome. Continue reading
