A Lady of Varied Interests

I think it’s important to have various interests and activities in one’s life.  Thanks to the Arcade and Collabor88 I am able to embrace lots of mine, and try new things like this hoverboard. It’s SO much fun, I may use it for travelling everywhere from now on!  Continue reading

Like a Peasant? Not Hardly!

Let’s face it, I’m not one for work of any sort. Housework? Oh good grief. But you see Cajsa has gone off on an adventure leaving me alone here on the isles for a few days and I confess I must get some work done. If i don’t it will all pile up and the entire place will be a disaster when she returns from her trip and well, that’s just no good.

I’m not keen on laundry. In fact I’m more of a wear it once and throw it away sort of girl, I confess. However, sheets and things like that must get done so here I am. At least things will be tidy when I am done! Right? And my new ironing board from What Next makes it a BIT more fun, I confess.  Continue reading

Visiting Cajsa

I am visiting Cajsa but she’s not home. So I’m touching all her stuff while she isn’t here. No one tell her.

We live on islets facing one another, and it reminds me of a fond time in SL from my ancient past. A friend had a swath of land with little islets all together and it was a lovely, idyllic little place to live for a long time. It’s like living with one’s friends yet living alone with freedom and privacy too. I rather like it. Continue reading

Make Tacos Not War

I felt very strongly about a need for a fun breakfast this morning. Sometimes you just need something unnecessary and awesome to start you day, and delicious cakes for me and my new boyfriend seemed like the ticket. Continue reading

This Is How I Party

My typist actually held a baby tiger in real life once. It was at one of those “pay to hold a baby tiger” sorts of places that one wouldn’t patronize today, because God KNOWS tigers should be in a reserve or some safe place, not in a little sideshow tent. But 20 years ago the world was a different place and thus, a baby tiger was held. Continue reading

There is NOTHING Blah About Tres Blah

Once again Tres Blah rocks my socks at the Arcade. I gotta have it all. Actually – I have most of it now. I just love her work, it’s like she says “What does Gidge need?” and then makes that. Continue reading

Boho and Pup

I tend to love the end of events, those last days when I don’t have to fight the throngs of people to get in. I don’t have to fight to see the vendor or deal with the crashy nature of too many avatars pulling around too many other avatars on leashes. Continue reading

We Are All Just Walking Each Other Home: For Bubbles

There are so many realizations that come along as you are part of the end of someone’s journey. You realize that there really is a time to die. You suddenly realize someone NEEDS to die. Then you hate yourself for that thought. You don’t want that. The conflict is human and it’s desperately inescapable. It’s a terrible place, the last steps to home. It’s also a sacred place, and if you can be there for someone, it’s the last and most precious gift you can give them.

Bubble’s mom is struggling with ALS and that burden is heavy. It is something that is happening to both of them. I just walked the path of fast progressing fatal disease with both of my parents, the road is hard and unforgiving. Continue reading
