MDR Photo Studio was one year old yesterday – and we will be celebrating that milestone with a big party on Friday night at 6:30 PM SLT. In that year we have grown from 1024 sm of ocean in Glookbone to a full sim with our studio and a photo park. The photo above was shot on the beach at MDR where there are a couple of those wonderful wooden boats and rocks from Las Islas filled with beachy animations.  I am not wearing the beachiest clothes, but Skin Flicks jacket is, despite its upscale fabric, completely wash and wear, so no worries.

The pants are from Persona and maintain their just pressed pristine look even while crawling around on the rocks. The Tesla Vixen II pumps suit the professional silhouette and fabric of the pants.

Many people reflexively pair colored shirts with black pants or jeans, ignoring the spectrum of colors that they have at their disposal.  Because it’s such a hard habit to break, I have a personal rule that I try other color options first before trying black – and making sure that when I choose black pants, it’s because they are truly the best option, not habit.

The linen jacket from Skin Flicks is a demonstration of how to do great textures.  Texture details are rich enough and strong enough that you can clearly see this is linen, not wool or cotton. The topstitching is beautifully drawn and the shape of the body is emphasized by gradations of color and shadow.  There’s even a bit of puckering at the buttons.

The jewelry is from Balderdash which is just opening on the still unfinished but still fun to see Oubliette sim.
