Is there anything sweeter than the joy of a new computer that is awesomer than anticipated? Nope. Awesomer IS a word. I’m currently in the sweet spot of NEW COMPUTER JOY and it’s hard not to be super happy. I’m not a big badass gaming machine but it’s mine and it works and that’s all I needed from it, frankly.

Normally my answer would be “Hell to the No” but when I was shooting these pictures today, I figured it could not possible get worse and might get better. So when I saw there was a new update, I went for it. I have not been able to save a photo to disk since Monday and was saving raw shots directly from the SL viewer to Flickr. The photos for this post are raw, unedited pictures. They have not even been cropped. I know Flickr has a photo editor, but I don’t like it. Still, it turns out fine. I just like to play with a few little touch ups now and then. I am wearing a fun and adorable sailor sweater and flared skirt from MotiAme that I found at Kustom9 when I dropped by to throw money at Apple Fall, as one does. The sweater comes in gray, brown, blue, black, red and white. The skirt is in black, white and blue. They fit together well and have a lovely early fall feeling – for those days with brisk breezes, a bit of mist in the air and moments of sunshine. October in Oregon.

It’s always a bad idea to go shopping when you are hungry but since I so rarely let pixel Gidge eat, she’s always hungry when she shops. Today she stopped over at her favorite butcher to pick up some meat because, hey, meat.
It was also an excuse to go for a stroll in my new shoes from Nardcotix – OMG REMEMBER NARDCOTIX? Well I do, fondly,and I’m excited to have them back in my SLife !
My favorite butcher always gives me a burrito, he’s thoughtful. He’s also a bit dumb because he spells is buritto making it impossible to FIND once I’m ready to eat it. But regardless, I strolled over to a lovely park to enjoy my burrito (spelled right) on this beautiful day. Continue reading

I’m always interested in GOOD events coverage, I enjoy SERAPHIM but I think that more GOOD coverage is a positive thing for shoppers and bloggers alike. I have important information. I can tell you how to shop THE SHOPS. I too have stood in the bright white landing point shouting OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING and ended up leaving frustrated. It’s happened. But, I’ve sorted it out and now I feel daft as it’s easy. Let me take you on a trip while I buy some lipstick. First of all, TP to THE SHOPS.
The FIRST thing that happens when you land is that you are handed a folder. YOU NEED THIS FOLDER. This is not a group joiner nor an invite to attend a BEST IN RED CONTEST WITH DJ HOT PANTS. This is an important folder and it contains a shopping hud and a styling hud. Put the shopping HUD ON.
If you are going to buy ANYTHING you’ll want to go ahead and buy credits. Not that big of a deal, you can sort out what you want and get the dollar amount closest to that. Pay the circle of the amount you want to pay. And now you have credit at the store.
Click on the picture on the wall that says THE MESH PROJECT to go pick up a body if you like. When you click on the body these are your choices.
I grabbed DELUXE. But you see there is a free version, GREAT for giving it a try.
You can also pick up a head if you like. I didn’t get one and I regret it a little I’d like to check one out. NEXT TIME! Mesh heads fascinate me.
This is where I grabbed the shoes and dress. You can also pop over to THE BOUTIQUE for more clothes. YAY clothes.
But I wanted lipstick! So – I found the arrow on the floor to go BACK to the first room with all the TP options.
And now I can choose to go to THE SKIN SHOP.
And since it was lipstick I was after, it was lipstick I found.
I chose CUTE and then chose my color palette from there. It was SO easy!
And that’s how you shop the shops! Easy!
I confess, I like mesh parts. I am trying out THE SHOPS for the first time, and giving their new DELUXE mesh body a whirl. I picked up a very pale skin while I was there and a freebie dress and shoes, to see if I liked their version of the mesh Gidge. Continue reading

I got so excited when I was asked to submit a weekly lingerie post. I adore lingerie and it gave me the perfect excuse to buy more, and to explore some new stores selling it.
You see, lingerie is not like other clothes. It’s special. Choosing lingerie is about how it makes me feel, rather than how it looks. It’s not like it gets seen by many people!
This piece is from a new store to me, HAS BEEN. Terrie Dreadlow’s designs have a hint of the fifties to them and the demo for the sweetness lingerie instantly transported me to a feeling of coy retro cuteness. The bodysuit is all mesh, and fit me perfectly straight out of the box. Don’t you just love when that happens.
It came with a HUD that offers a huge variety of colour options. You can customise the front panel, sides, bows and the ribbons that run down the length. Every colour and every texture are gorgeously detailed. Plus, it’s only 99L. There’s no excuse not to explore your inner bunny!
The shoes were also from HAS BEEN and included the same HUD with tons of options. These were in the lights pack. There is also a darks pack.
Lingerie doesn’t have to be all lace, frills and barely there. It just has to make me feel special. This set does that and so much more.
