Chinese New Year And Mnemonic Device

Gogo and my IMs read like those text message commercials with James Earl Jones and Malcolm McDowell.
“Have you been to Fameshed?”

“No. Not yet. I dunno if I am gonna go.”

“Me too, but I wanna go out. We should go.”

“I dunno. I’m tired. But I might go. Or I might go somewhere else.”

“I wanna go somewhere. Maybe.”

And on and on like that. Sometimes we’ll have entire conversations on how tired we are of the trend of everything being brown. (Look around, it’s a thing. Suddenly everything is dark and brown at some events.)

Anyway, in the course of this conversation, the event CHINESE NEW YEAR came up. We both agreed that the Chinese boxes of awesome made by LARK were must have, and so even though she was dithering about going out I headed over there.  The original landmark seemed to have landed me in a pit. From the sky, where I ended up, it seemed like there was a tunnel leading to the event, or a walkway or something, but where I LANDED it was some sort of poofing rendering hell where not only could I not see, I was disoriented and unhappy. Settled in For The Morning

I forgot I had this COZY chair from Fri.day and decided it was just the touch my bedroom needed. It’s a great piece for snuggling and unwinding when you don’t feel like heading out into your pixel life. It comes with three different blanket snuggling animations, as well and some regular sits too.

I saw this adorable wall decor from a brand called FOLLOW US on Marketplace.  It’s a little primmy because it’s sculpts but it’s cute. I do wish she’d release in mesh though, because I will end up replacing it pretty soon just due to the prims. However, it’s super inexpensive and great props for photoshoots. Continue reading →

I was going to go shopping for a new dining table, ok I WENT shopping for a new dining table. But then I was bored with everything and came home only to go shopping in my own inventory. I forgot I had this adorable cafe table from What Next. Yes, it’s probably two years old, but it’s still COMPLETELY adorable and so,  my big front porch now has a lovely outside dining area. Popcorn Is The Color Of My Love

There is a new gorgeous, delicate, set of lingerie at Adam n Eve that is a must have for you girls who collect lingerie like some people pick up lint.

I meant that like a good thing. Hmmmmm. ANYWAY. I was a little excited because her colors have names that make sense. Popcorn = soft yellow/cream color LIKE POPCORN. It never fails to vex me when I want to put something on and the color is TEQUILA. WHAT THE HELL COLOR IS TEQUILA ?

A delicate, elegant lingerie set, this new release also includes appliers for you not so delicate wearers of the big ass and paste on boobies. They have names but I can’t even remember them. If you wear them you know what I mean. So this lingerie will be suited for ladies of all kinds of butt and boob size.

I Started Out So Artsy

I was cruising a spot I’d seen on Honour McMillan’s blog and taking those “I’m fancy and standing in this place where I don’t belong, LOOK ON ME” sort of photos, when my friend London (whom I’d been chatting with) said “HEY YOU GOT A BAR!” and I realized, she’d popped over to my house.

Guest Stylist Maeve Byron

It’s been a while since we have featured a guest stylist here at It’s Only Fashion, but after I ran into Maeve Byron at the Mahrathon this weekend, I had to ask her to volunteer. She said she liked the blog, so of course, I wanted to feature her. Besides, she was a generous supporter of the Mahrathon – which raised 322,000 lindens for Heifer International. Yay!

According to Maeve, “I guess my style puts comfort as the main priority. Although fashion blogs like A Passion For Virtual Fashion, Juicybomb and of course It’s Only Fashion have inspired me, I don’t really jump on cutting edge style; I prefer a more classic look…maybe it’s an age thing. I like to look smart, tasteful, cute and approachable.”

I think she succeeds. Don’t you?

I have made the Arcade Yard Sale rounds and I have to say, I’ve very nearly got everything I want. I’m not THAT needy, I don’t have to have them ALL of anything, and there are some rares that elude me. I won’t pay much more than pull price though – so you see, it’s tough for me to complete a set because so many people jack up the prices so high.

What Does the Sweater Say?

My latest trip to FaMESHed (Ok I quit calling it Fame Shed except in my mind) was quickly turned into one of whimsy when I ran into this sweater from Mutresse. I bought it thinking I was getting one color, and that it displayed the graphic above. Seriously, it makes me lawl.

What I didn’t realize was that it came with a texture change huge, loads of colors AND little sayings. None as satirical and witty as THIS ONE imho but, that’s just me.
