I had a giggle when someone asked me that the other day on Plurk. Ok I blog a lot of lingerie. But SL lingerie is endless and always comfortable and perfectly fit, thus why wouldn’t I? Plus, I admit, you catch me early or late very often, I promise I get dressed in between no really I do.

Today I’m a late riser, having slept so very well in my new bed from Cheeky Pea – yay she made something PINK! I’ve got a lot of shopping to do and planning as well, today you see is the day when I’ve got to make all my ARCADE shopping plans.  Continue reading →

After A Journey of 900 Miles

I’ve been desperate for three days to sleep in my own bed and now that I’m here I can relax. I’m so glad to be home on Juicy again, where I can sleep listening to the waves crashing on the shore.  It’s a perfect spot for me, and I have to admit I feel so very spoiled living here.

I’m picky in my SL. Pixel Gidge is not low rent. I suppose I could role play low rent by WHY. I only want the best, the things I know aren’t junk. Because of that, there are some brands I will literally wear the hell out of, that’s because they’re always going to be high quality and I don’t even have to WONDER how they will look on me.

Take for instance, LUXURIA. In my little fantasy I keep Roslin locked away in a tower and she’s frantically sewing new lingerie for me to wear. I’ll feed her well but no one else can have my pretties. Luckily for you, that’s just a fantasy but I do covet her pretties very hard. Our Lady of the Bugs was the first hairdo I purchased from The Stringer Mausoleum, long ago for Halloween 2008. Her work is instantly recognizable because it is wild and exuberantly creative, full of wit and a dollop of kookiness. It entertains as well as adorns.

It’s Only Fashion: What’s the craziest thing you ever did in Second Life®? Most exciting? Silliest? Is there a story you can share that captures your Second Life experience?

Helena Stringer: The Craziest Thing I have ever done in SL® would probably be taking the reigns of Media Manager for a rather large event, 2 weeks before it was to open. I learned a lot, and was rather successful at it. There was over 200 designers in that event, and I managed to get each of them covered at least 2 times, by a team of 60 bloggers. I did this while being in 13 Events/Hunts/Rounds myself for my own store as well as running the Main Site for the Event, which had a tem and daily postings. Would I do it again? Kavar Clearslate: I think the silliest was a few years ago (after a Hair Fair set up in fact) I set up this race track with friends in the sky with buildings that had those break apart scripts in them and we spend 2 hours wrecking the place with cars and prims flying everywhere, it was a blast.

Arcade June 2015 has once again proven to me that the creators at The Arcade KNOW me.  They really really know me. They know I’m messy. They know I have too much make up and I’m not ashamed. They know, I have a lot of little bottles of things sitting around. And they love me for it.

I’m pausing as I absorb the amazing things available this round and trying to decide if I need to move house or how many more little things I can possibly shove into my house. I have to remodel my bath. That’s just got to happen.

I fell in love with the {anc} broken chair at Collabor88. In particular, I thought the animations and poses were extraordinarily well done. I took a lot of pictures of the poses and will post smaller pictures of them. I added some lovely lacey lingerie from Luxuria. I love how the lace is an abstract representation of roses. Luxuria’s lingerie comes with all the layers for clothing as well as appliers for Slink and Maitreya. This picture also shows off the lovely necklace from LaGyo.

The lighting is not photoshopped. I used the Dark Ambient windlight setting that comes with the standard Firestorm collection. The lighting comes from the Pilot candles and the half-deer curtains. I also used one self-made projector prim.

There are a few more shopping days left of the Pretty In Punk round of Collabor88 and you won’t want to miss it. Look at this gorgeous dress from ISON for this round. It comes in several solid colors and well as two plaids and these gorgeous stripes. I love ISON’s contemporary style, minimalist and fashion forward with just a few details that reflect the designer’s discipline. You will never hear Nina say “it’s over-designed” about anything from ISON because the designer in control.
