The Curtain Closes on the Arcade Soon…but there is STILL TIME

More DIRE than the last call for alcohol is the last few hours of THE ARCADE. What didn’t you get yet? If you’re a blogger and you didn’t pull for these adorable decor items from Le Primtif you’re missing out. They are the perfect accoutrements to your studio – they all fell into my MUST HAVE list for sure. I’m also besieged by cats this morning from MUTRESSE – also still available at the ARCADE. My little corgi from Jian has become a staple at my house, you still have a few hours to grab yours as well. Continue reading

The Kitchen is the Heart of the Home

No place like home

My mom once said you can always tell how close someone feels to you when you visit them. If they sit you down in the living room, you’re not that close. If they sit you down at the kitchen table, you’re just like family. Of course, that presumes you live in a home with a kitchen big enough for a table of guests and not in an apartment with a kitchen that feels crowded when the cat comes in to watch you cook.

The kitchen table is the heart of the home, and the countertops are its backbone. It’s where we gather to cook, eat, chat, and sometimes even work. A sturdy, spacious kitchen countertop can make all the difference when it comes to preparing meals and hosting guests. While granite and marble are popular options, many homeowners are opting for the warmth and charm of wood countertops. Not only do they provide a cozy and inviting feel, but they’re also highly functional and durable. With proper care, wood countertops can last for decades, making them a smart investment for any home. So why not consider adding some custom wood countertops to your kitchen and create a welcoming space that truly feels like the heart of your home?

Fortunately, Barnesworth Anubis’s henlopen cottage from Collabor88 is big enough for kitchen friends. I added the beautiful cabinet from DRD’s Arcade gacha in the kitchen. It was a white white which made my kitchen walls look faded, so I tinted the wood. I love creators who let us do that.

The Arcade closes at midnight tomorrow so get going and get pulling because your time is running short.

Once again Tres Blah rocks my socks at the Arcade. I gotta have it all. Actually – I have most of it now. I just love her work, it’s like she says “What does Gidge need?” and then makes that. Continue reading

Spring Forward..Because That’s Not Trite Enough

I am excited to have shed the gloom of winter on our island, spring is upon us full force. It’s time to revel in the warmth of the sea around us and enjoy this wonderful SL. Collabor88 this month is all about spring goodness, I’ve set up the gorgeous table and chairs from the Loft and Aria on my deck of the kitchen tree house.

I’m not even sure how much happier I could be this morning. It’s peaceful and beautiful here. I keep thinking I will move out of these tree houses but I’m not sure I can. I love them too much. Continue reading

The Right Girl and the Girl Who Waited

There is the Girl Who Waited who is Amelia Pond. She waited for his return, and when he did great adventures and wonder happened throughout her life. But she was spun along through her own adventures, like a rudderless boat sometimes. She wasn’t the captain, yet she was a willing participant in the chaos of adventure she was able to experience. (I won’t embrace the spoilers of the end of her adventures, as we know it’s against the rules – SPOILERS!)

But there’s another kind of girl and she’s the kind who won’t wait for anybody. Continue reading

Helena Stringer - IOF - Bring Green to Life - 1
