My Schedule Was Full

I got dressed quickly this morning, with a list of errands and things I wanted to check out. I grabbed a new purse from The Annex (how cute is that?) and thought – I’ll quick post up those pics I shot days ago before our blog went down, and head out.  All in all, ten minutes knocking out a blog post before hitting the road seemed like a great plan. After all, I want to go to a few events before RL Gidge has to hit the road.

That’s when it happened. My pictures, they weren’t in FLICKR. WHERE ARE MY PICTURES?

I walked around to my office and there they were, in my hard drive where I had left them. It seems I’d taken them but never cropped them. I also had done my great blogger mistake – I had changed my clothes and not saved any of my fashion details.

Did you hear that sound? That’s the sound of a blogger’s soul being wrenched apart by cruel fate. Continue reading

This Is How I Do Fantasy

RC Cluster is BAAAACK and she’s back bringing items to help you bring your SL a little more LIFE! I’m so excited to be able to pretend to wash dishes. Look how awesome I look. I’m not sweaty or annoyed at all. And I’ve got a lovely breakfast awaiting me when I’m done so really why wouldn’t I be happy to do a bit of cleaning? Continue reading

All Meshed Up

Snapshot_002

Mesh dress, shoes, body, hands, feet, jewelry, hair and face. Yes, I am all meshed up. The dress is from Milk Motion for this month’s Collabor88. It comes in several pastel colors – fitting with this month’s theme. I love how asymmetry in the neckline echoes that of the skirt. I also adore the belt, enough that I wish it were sold separately to war with other items. I have one quibble, but it is rooted in Second Life limitations, not in poor construction. This dress has shoulder pads, as you can see. That gives it a great architectural look. Sadly, every long hair I tried to wear  intersected with it. I normally prefer the shorter hair and updos anyway, because I love jewelry and want to see it. But, I also like having the option of long hair and that is a little difficult with these shoulders. Of course, one of those free-flowing manes would work.

Pretty In Punk

150501_001

There are a few more shopping days left of the Pretty In Punk round of Collabor88 and you won’t want to miss it. Look at this gorgeous dress from ISON for this round. It comes in several solid colors and well as two plaids and these gorgeous stripes. I love ISON’s contemporary style, minimalist and fashion forward with just a few details that reflect the designer’s discipline. You will never hear Nina say “it’s over-designed” about anything from ISON because the designer in control.

One Hunt, Three Heads and a Big Skin Sale

150426_002

I love the adorable floral blouse and skater skirt that NYU just released for the Wayward Hunt. You will have to hunt for it at the main store because this color will not be sold after the hunt is over. I always love separates because that gives me options to wear the pieces with other items.

I stopped by the beach at Terracotta but I did not wade in as I have new shoes from Ingenue (available at this month’s Collabor88 for now) and wanted to keep them dry.

Pardon Me, Is This Wall Taken ?

It’s never the best idea to blog in SL while on pain meds, at least not for me. If my fashion details are to be believed, i’m wearing four sets of hands and two heads right now.  I seem to look ok though, so I’m going with it. Who even knows? Continue reading

Wash Day Smosh Day

It’s a great testament to how important it can be to include your blog or FLICKR link in your group notices, this washtub prop is. I review notices on my phone, and saw this and made note to pick up to when I logged in. Despite having been gone a week and being capped all my notices still go to my email so I can still see what came out while I was gone. Perfect! I also picked up another decor item while I was there so double whammy for the creator at Shutter Field.  Continue reading

The Zen of Ironing

150331_004

For me, ironing has always been a peaceful relaxing activity. I would set up the ironing board in the living room by the couch and have the unearned in a basket on one side and an empty basket on the other to place the newly ironed pieces. I would lower the ironing board so I could sit on the couch and watch something on television while I ironed and work away. It’s quiet, peaceful and easy to do, so ironing was a favorite chore.
