Sometimes, I think it would have been fun to live in the days of the traveling circus. To have side show freaks and bearded ladies, siamese twins and tattooed lizard guys or something like that. Being on the move and exploring the country and meeting people from all over. But the reason my dolly looks sad is because times were not always wonderful. Money was hard to come by and when people didn’t have money, people didn’t come see my dollies show.

We cannot be sure, but we can be sure that opera length or full length, this gown delivers. This is another look, well, HALF a look I put together from my Objects Folder – Blogger challenge. I say half because some of these items are new to me. The skin, pants, eyes and top were all hiding in my objects folder. The skin was apparently a Halloween gift from Glam Affair and it reminds me of a zombie. It has cool veins poking through.

Gizza has released a fun new dress that is totally Rock & Roll. Now if I could purchase some musical talent. And if that musical talent was half as hot as this Starlight dress, I might make the Cover of the Rolling Stone.
Last night I decided I had some time on my hands, the boy child was sleeping, the S.O went to a movie, I had finished watching “Girls” so I thought “what the hell”, I’m going to organize my OBJECTS folder. Now, on my old avatar this never happened, but on my newer avie I like to keep things clean. Two days ago I freaked out because my inventory had inched passed 20k and this is unacceptable.
While in the throws of cleaning out my OBJECTS folder I noticed I had a lot of skins, make-ups, clothing etc that I had never opened. Perhaps, I bought things and forgot they were there or some were groups gifts or blogger copies I forgot to open. Either way, I opened them and thought “hmm, this would make an interesting blogger challenge”. I tried on everything that I had never opened and put together from those things a look that worked well together.
I offer you this same challenge. Old or new, it does not matter, find things unopened in your OBJECTS folder and make it work.

Glam Affair released their Amberly – Petal Edition today and I’m in love. I purchased the Amberly – Edward. Each one has a clean version and the regular version. More skin makers need to release super pale tones….just saying.

I went to Carneval last night, staying up until 4 A.M. exploring the amazing sim. MadPea has designed so many of my favorite sims and this one is perhaps his most stunning yet. Colored in a restrained black and white palette with touches of blood red here and there, the duotone colors make it so very dramatic and allows your windlight settings to paint the scene for you. This picture was shot in the specified region wind light which gave it an eerie desaturated gloom. The spooky, abandoned amusement park is a familiar trope, but MadPea takes the familiar and gives it new life. There is a KAOS effect ride which makes me wonder if it was inspired by the Get Smart episode where Max and Agent 99 went to the KAOS Amusement Park.
I dressed in this chic coat and skirt from VoguE, though from prior experience with MadPea’s mad creations, I should perhaps have known better. If you have not enjoyed a MadPea experience, you have been missing some of the best that Second Life has to offer. Combining rich, detailed textures and meticulous builds, MadPea creates places to play, to interact, to explore. Oddly enough, WordPress just autocorrected explore to expire – an ironic and macabre recognition of the world of MadPea.
I am so in love with Hybie’s photo, I hallways don’t want to post and move it from the top of the page. I am lazy today and wanted to wear something comfy and cozy. This fun, loose and comfy top from NYU seems perfect for the day curling up with Anti-Fragile, my current read while marrow bones simmer away, making a rich broth for some risotto. My cat is on my shoulder while I read and I am sure he must have an opinion on the state of the world.
I have an opinion on this top. I love its details that elevate it beyond the t-shirt that it first appears to be. Notice the high cut arm holes, the neat edging on the sleeves and the gorgeous button-down back and lovely sweeping curve of the hem. This is casual, but also chic.
