Baby, It’s Cold Outside – for MY ATTIC

It might have been an obligatory blog post title as temps drop, but no, it’s the theme this month for MY ATTIC where a host of your favorite and maybe new to you designers have created a great round of new releases – themed, you guessed it – Baby, It’s Cold Outside.

My release for the event is a set of poses I made that I needed for blogging coats – coats can be cumbersome, but of course they work with other things too. Spooky Elegant

Ison has released an elegant lace bodiced gown for Collabor88 that’s perfect for nicer Halloween/Fall events. It’s richly textured and you can imagine how heavy it would be once you put it on. I love a gorgeously made gown, and this one is perfect – I wonder where I can wear it?

I’ve been playing with projectors and have released one as a group gift at PRETENSE POSES. You can touch the subscribo to pick it up. As with all projectors, you’ll need shadows for sun/moon + projectors enabled and a nice dark windlight to see it properly.

The Phone Rings At 7 Am…

I had this blog post planned. A couple of Arcade items, an item from Acid Lily, some Collabor88 – a well rounded event post. I’d shot it over a couple of days, dorking around with lighting, realizing after ten shots I was on medium resolution (this explained a lot).

Then my real life phone rang.  The cellphone in my pocket rang – and I looked at it with dread. No one calls you with good news at 7am. No one. It was Cajsa and I knew why she was calling.

The FLUX Event this month is a Tiki Trailer park kitsch theme that is irresistible. The shopping kiosks are located on the various sandbar islands and up the hill in the trailers overlooking the whole build.

It’s a bloggers paradise with lots of great vignettes waiting for you to take pics of island and beachy themed fun, plus there are lots of goodies from props to clothes and more that I’m enjoying this round.

Things To Know Before You Visit LOVE DONNA FLORA

I went over last night to make another pass at shopping before the onslaught, and wanted to cover some important stuff with you to make your, and everyone elses, shopping experience better.

Like any event, looking cute isn’t going to be your most important focus. Go look cute on the last day. Right now, it’s a struggle to get in. There is a script meter that’s going to let you know if you have on too many scripts. You’ll get three warnings and then if you don’t pare it down, you’re going to get TPd. I know this, because last night in a bikini, I kept getting it. As I swore at Cajsa and muttered in RL about it being BS, I realized my glasses and earrings were scripted, and once I took them off the warning stopped. Continue reading →

I shot this outfit five times. Five different times. This is a grand departure from my old self, wherein I would say TO HELL WITH THIS OUTFIT and delete it all and you’d never see it.

I used to feel like, it just wasn’t meant to be, if the pics were all shite. But that’s more Presbyterian than I care to be, so I kept going back and back and back to the studio, or that studio, or this location, or at my house, until eventually I even made myself a projector and played with it until I came up with these pics.
