April 10th! Three of my hometown friends share this birthday, so I spent the morning catching up. I guess I have known them since birth since they were still in the hospital when I was born on the 15th – not that I remember! Anyway, that is why I am off to a late start on this today.

The theme for April’s Collabor88 is Kitsch. Well, Kitsch never had it so good. Normally, I use the word pejoratively, describing some tired gimcrack tchotchke. Don’t get me wrong. I have kitsch. Most of mine is Scandinavian folk art, but it’s still kitsch. The kitsch is in this outfit from ISON is the flying bird patter in the sheer bodice, but in such skillful hands, it’s kitsch as art.
The ISON dress can be worn with the long sleeves that I chose or as a sleeveless sheath. It comes in black, blue, green, gray, purple, red and tan and there is no reason you cannot mix the system layer bodices from one color with the mesh dress pieces of another – just to add more interest.
What a day! We get to meet a new survivor from Gallifrey. That does not happen often. There’s a crazy, fun sim highlighted and SL textures may be changing dramatically in the future.
I’ve been waiting for Hart to release Sophia in a Natural tone because this girl doesn’t tan in either life. He just recently released her in ALL tones so if you do love a darker or mid range tone run to demo!
But the VIP Group once again proves that this group is a blogger’s good friend. You need versatility and lots of skins as a blogger (especially a new blogger, this isn’t cheap) and belonging to VIP groups that provide quality awesome skins is where it’s at.
Plus I think it’s lovely that it has the same name as Cajsa’s mom.
