What’s your favorite thing about Hair Fair?
The fact that I am able to help children with my creativity.
What drew you to creating hair, arguably one of the most difficult challenges for creators?
I always had a fascination for different, edgy hairstyles in real life so I decided to make those in SL. It was a challenge to learn the process but in the end, it was worth it. Now I get to share my taste with others and get to see how others wear my hair.
Adoness
How would you describe your brand’s aesthetic or niche?
Adoness niche is punk/alternative/rock hair, mostly with shaved sides. The brand aesthetic – A dark fantasy world with endless starry nights. Peace, serenity, and cuteness are how you could describe my vision of the brand.
What comic/cartoon character would shop at your store? Veronica, Betty, Olive Oyl, Miss Piggy, Storm?
Kermit the Frog, I’m sure.
What inspired the styles you created for Hair Fair?
I picked up inspiration from requests I receive from my customers. My friend requested straight fringe styles. Beanie hairstyle which was released at Hair Fair was named after her.
Do you have a funny hair story to share?
One happened recently. It was a request from my customer. It was dark but I find it incredibly funny, “Some of my friends and I have been hunting down a hair we saw on Marketplace and it led me to you. Will the Ares hair be put up for sale? We are willing to give up Lindens, our first born and do sacrificial slaughters. Other forms of payment, death and mutilation will be considered.”
Which hair from your collection is closest to your real life hair?
The Odin hairstyle was created according to my own hair at the time.
Where do I find more about Adoness?
I have to confess I’m an addict for fall. While the heat in the RL stays in the 90s my SL turns into a pumpkin colored wonderland at the first hint of autumn. The SALEM event kicked off and that has to mean it’s fall doesn’t it? I’m positive it means that. I’m sporting new lips and eye BLACK MAGIC makeup from ALASKA METRO that you can pick up at SALEM.
I’m doing a bit of urban shopping today in a sharp suit from Baiastice and my favorite HAT HAIR from Hair Fair this year. Every year I declare a BEST HAT HAIR at Hair Fair and honestly – THIS IS IT FOR ME. SO CUTE. Perfect for the breezy city streets while I look for the next bargain! Continue reading
Oh hai! Apparently there’s a trend on Flickr that consists of taking pictures sideways, or with an horizontal avatar. From what I understand the goal is to get one’s picture picked as group cover, then one snapshots said cover and posts it again on their Flickr. I find that last part highly ridiculous, but just like bloggers referring to designers as “sponsors”, I guess that’s how the world goes nowadays and you just have to go with the flow. I do miss simpler times, when one blogged just what they liked, when they liked it, and once in a while would get blogger copies and would be over the moon with them… oh well, I’ll just keep my old fart’s habits and hope people enjoy my ramblings. I’ve been wearing that outfit for a while now, and just couldn’t find the time to blog it, but finally here it is! I’m absolutely in love with everything there : the gorgeous rings from Kunglers, the lovely necklace from Maxi Gossamer, the cute Tram hair, the adorable flats from Phedora… Definitely saving that whole outfit to wear again!

Well made myself a proper breakfast and have my plans for today. I like to spend Sundays in some combination of busy fun and relaxation. It’s a perfect day for baking and relaxing – which I’ve already started while I eat my delicious breakfast.
What do you like to bake as fall moves in? I’m a traditionalist, at the first hint of cool air I’m ready for apple everything and the pumpkin spice.

End of my holiday weekend winds down and finds me back at home on Juicy. I’m not sad though. I’ve been unpacking – slowly but surely. It’s kind of cathartic to reinvent my SLife in a new place again, even if that place is in fact an old place.
I slipped into some new lingerie that you can find at The Arcade. It’s perfect for a cozy evening in, alone or perhaps with someone special.
