The Great Wall of China

I visted the Great Wall of China during my first month in Second Life five years ago and it was always a wonderful place to go. That’s why I was sad to read that it and three companion sims owned by Amiryu Hosoi may be forced to close. Please stop by and drop off a donation in the box at the landing point and don’t forget to shop at her store, Hosoi Design, if you’re looking for Japanese furnishings, prefabs and decor.

Second Life gave me more than the usual amount of grief, crashing again and again. I decided to turn off shadows to see if that would let me shoot some photos to show of this very chic top from Glam Affair and leggins from Tres Blah. I love the modern lines with the asymmetrical skirt, the long sleeves and the snug leather leggings. The hot wedges from ISON don’t hurt one bit either. All three pieces can be found at Collabor88.

Incredibly, I kept crashing so I went home where I could turn my draw distance down to 32 for the last snaps. Here you can see the lovely new hairstyle from Exile called Darling Nikki and the necklace and earrings from WTG.

I really love the idea of the long sleeves that wrap around part of the hand, but think that this is something that mesh does not lend itself to very well. I think the long sleeve with an accompanying system sleeve finish on the glove layer might work more convincinginly.

The skin is Betty from Belleza. This is from the regular Betty release, not the special Vintage Fair release.
