This third look at how Sn@tch clothing passes beyond the Alternative label explores a fun mash-up that very editorial and high fashion. The basis is the Swirl & Swing outfit – a top and skirt outfit. I used just the skirt, though, opting to finally try out that Boudoir Black Lace Bodysuit that has been tempting me for the past month.

You could search the grid for a year and not find a better complement to the Boudoir bodysuit than Sn@tch’s fabulous Swirl and Swing skirt in black. The soft voile and lace over the opaque sculpty skirt has the perfect contrast to the lace so that it does not get lost – but also does not overwhelm. Sure a plain black skirt could work, but this is more interesting and more exciting. I love the William Morris-inspired print contrasting with the more baroque lace.

I chose two options for the bodice – the PG option is adding a corset top that reverses the pattern of the skirt – in a very stylized way. A simple black or silver corset would also work well. Sadly, this corset is from Ornamental Life, which closed about a year ago. Nonetheless, I could not resist using it as its silver with black reverses the skirts black with silver which makes such a sophisticated contrast.

Seeking a more high fashion look, I chose the Hydra breast plate from Rozoregalia – along with the rest of the Hydra set.

Shooting in Glitterati’s Sci-Fi Room adds to the high-fashion sensibility of this shoot. So do the McQueen Rose boots from Heroes of Fashion.

Rezoregalia’s Hydra set includes earrings, handrings, a necklace and breastplates – which can be worn on either breast. The hair is from Paper Couture. They did not make a red one, so I tinted the brown.

The Mummer skin from Tres Blah’s Hiccup line is as dramatic and beautiful a skin as you can find.
