Vaudeville was the great entertainment of the 1880’s to the 1930’s – a variety show of comedy, singers, musicians and any act that could fill the seats. American burlesque grew out of vaudeville and continues to this day with neo-burlesque geniuses like Dita Von Teese. The Designers United group have honored that heritage with their most recent exhibition and in that spirit, It’s Only Fashion is throwing a party tomorrow night at 8 pm at The Deck – graciously offered by Sasy Scarborough. It will feature vaudeville and burlesque music and some that could be.
The Designers United celebration of vaudeville has been such a delight with fun outfits such as this lovely dress from Equus. Believe it or not, the stockings don’t come with the outfit, but are a pair from Bijou. They seem to have been made for this. Bax Coen’s red ankle boots work perfectly. I changed the gold using the custom option and used a less bright gold with RGB of 220/165/85.
The jewelry is from Donna Flora, the adorable hair is from Tiny Bird for Designers United and called Chicago – appropriately enough. The skin is also Designers United, Hiccup Vamp makeup.

Beautiful pictures!
This is the most lovely vintage style graphics work I have ever seen on the fashion feed in all the years that I’ve been reading it. Stunning! Thank you.
Thanks so much Daila and Ivy. You make me blush.
That skin wouldn’t look too bad at the Berlin Project. Thanks for putting it up!
