I have been holding back. I admit it. I wore this dress on Sunday and have not shared it with you all. I was saving it for Halloween night simply because of all the costumes and Halloween gowns and goth designs I have tried out this week, this is my favorite. This morning however, it occurs to me that you might like to check it out before Halloween in case you want to wear it, too. I know I will be wearing it at MDR’s Halloween party tomorrow night because this dress is made for dancing.
Starting at the top, you see here the magnificent bodice with the lace corset. The sides are trimmed with beautiful burned velvet. The froth of lace on the sleeves is exquisite.
The skirt is the magic of this dress. With vertical strips of satin and velvet, the dress moves as though it’s alive. Even standing still in a pose, the dress sways slightly. The slow swell to the wide skirt is graceful and doesn’t eat your hands 90% of the time as do many skirts that widen more quickly.
Under the skirt are layers upon layers upon layers of petticoats and ruffles ensuring that your every movement is graceful and lovely.
The opera length allows your shoes to show off as well, I am wear Aoharu’s ribbon heel with the lovely bordeaux velvet bows.
The hair syle is from Sky Everett Designs. Now a couple folks have had a hard time finding it because they don’t see their colors. Well, that’s because it’s a color-change script. When you buy the hair style, you get the black (with and without face light) and the color-change (with and without facelight). Her hairstyles are expensive so be sure you demo it and know it works for you, but if it does work for your head, it’s absolutely stunning.
