One of the reasons I love events like Hair Fair and the recent Glamour Expo is that I encounter new stores and designers. Some of them may not be new at all, but are new to me. I will feel lucky if I even see a tenth of the great fashions in Second Life.Second Life fashion overflows with an abundance of creativity which gives us all the frequent joy of discovery of the new and the exciting almost daily.
All of which is a lot of words to express how happy I was to discover Riviera Couture at the Glamour Expo. I have already blogged two outfits from that experience, but I finally went to the main store to check it out and found this breath-taking outfit.
Some designers really understand the physics of flexiprim movement better than the rest. Their prims flow and float and gently settle. That’s what you get with a Riviera Couture dress. That and bold use of prints and texture. In this case, she has a rich black and gold fabric that makes you think you could mine your dress for real gold if you were cash poor. Here I wear it with the Armidi Hoja top in black because I am a pixel prude.
This is the way it is meant to be worn. Really sexy but a bit bare for me.
There is also a China Gold pantsuit sold separately or with the dress in a suite.
I wore the Enkythings baba yaga shoes with it, echoing the black with gold embellishment of the dress.
I think the Mae Hong Son neck rings from Chapeau Tres Mignon is the perfect choice and went with DeLa’s Lloyd earrings and bangles because their square pattern echoes the circular bands of the necklace.
