When I saw the new Seduction dress from Mimikri I began to drool. After mopping up, I popped over to the store and picked up the sexy Seduction in Nude. I added a bit of contrast with tan gloves from Fleur and a stole from Skin Flicks. With the coffee lipstick on the PXL skin, I thought the palette was just about perfect.
The dress also includes a lovely bow that I took off while wearing the stole, finding the two together a bit too much. However, with the stole, the bow really sets the dress off.
It also gives you great visual interest from the back.
Jewelry from Muse completes the look. The slightly mussed hair from Damselfly matches the seductive mood. However, Damselfly, as much as I love them, don’t allow editing…and sometimes you need to as i discovered when I shot my face from just a tiny bit different angle and noticed a very annoying bit of hair.
Now, if Damselfly did as nearly EVERY OTHER HAIR SELLER did and allowed buyer to modify, I could fix this. Of course, in PhotoShop I can paint it out, but I should not have to. Please, please, please, hair sellers, don’t make hair no mod. Hair fitting is so idiosyncratic that honestly, it’s insane that I ever bought any no mod hair in the first place.

/me agrees on the no mod hair thing. Breaks my heart when I can’t wear a hair I otherwise love cos of that random prim in the way.
Breaks my heart that Argrace is not only No Mod, it’s also No Copy. Maybe we should start a petition and send it to those stores? XD
No mod AND no copy?!?!?! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!
Yeah I love me some Damselfly, but there have many demos that never made it to my production closet because of wonky strands.
Aleri Darkes is great about letting you know WHAT size your head needs to be to fit perfectly – and you CAN mod but she recommends just shrinking your head (expanding) just a wee bit to fix, which I prefer.
Which is why I probably wear so much Diversity Hair.
I spoke to Argrace prior to Hair Fair about the No Copy hair thing and they wanted their hair to be giftable, english isnt their first language and I guess without people actually requesting it that way from them they will continue to do as they do, my concern for them is more the fact that often there has been more than one size in a pack so people can share a style.
xox Sasy xox
You can modify Damselfly hair, it’s scripted to let you. Click the prim you want to move or resize and a menu pops up. At least the styles I have do that, dont know if they all do.
Macey, you are SO RIGHT , I can mod the hair with a script. So now the hair is out of my cheek.
/me still prefers using edit to mod, but is very relieved that Damselfly’s wonderful hair is fixable.
I *hate* those modify scripts with a passion. I wont shop at Damselfly because of it, and that’s sad because I like quite a few of her styles. She’s losing a tonne of money from me alone by using those annoying scripts. And I sent a notecard to the Argrace owners requesting to trade my hair in for No trans/Copy, but they never responded. 🙁
Truly a pity on that. I have no experience with “scripted” hair yet, but I think I would prefer to do my own editing, at least on the surface of it. You just have to make sure you have a good copy, because it’s so easy to mess up what would be a nice style with a bad twitch of a trackball or a defective/balky mouse.
As for the dress, it’s very nice — and that’s quite a bit from me, as I usually don’t go in for that much lace. A touch of trim, a nice shawl or stole or throw, yes; but a full lace dress just isn’t my normal cup of cappuccino.
I tried modding the Damselfly using the script, but there’s so many alpha strands it was literally IMPOSSIBLE for me to grab the one I needed – and believe me, I tried!
