A Princess With Grace

Before the general American girl’s love affair with Princess Diana, if you old enough, you know we had Princess Grace. She was a real Princess of a magical kingdom that none of us quite understood why it was a kingdom (ok principality but when you’re a kid wtf is THAT?) but we knew she was a real princess. She was a movie star which is awesome and then she became a princess which was even MORE awesome.

What little girl could dream of more? Continue reading

All Good Things Come to an End

0330_002

Three very good things are coming to an end. The quarterly gacha festival at The Arcade ends today. The annual Skin Fair has ended and the March cycle of Collabor88 is nearing its end as well. If you have been waiting for the crowds to thin before going in for your mad shopping spree – today’s the day. This post features a little from all of them. The lovely skirt suit is from u.f.o. for Collabor88. It’s the quintessential suit for the modern professional woman.  Continue reading

I Relay…. Do You?

I relay for many people in my life… my mother, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin and numerous friends … some who have won… some who are losing… and some who have lost to this evil enemy we call CANCER.  I will be participating in an event next Saturday – a date auction to benefit Relay for Life.  Located at the Balboa Theatre.  If you want more information or an auction form, please stop by my shop, Flutterby Tattoo’s.  And consider dropping a few Lindens in the RFL kiosk while you are there… I Relay… do you?

Blowing in the Wind

0327_002

I stopped by League the other day, looking for some appliers for my Slink hands and almost forgot to buy them, I was so distracted by this gorgeous skirt and mohair sweater. I wanted to buy fat packs, but I was disciplined and settled on this gorgeous fuchsia. The sweater comes with a solid color or a gradient. I am wearing the gradient in this photo.

A lot of life’s answers are blowing in the wind, as the Bob Dylan song asserts. But what does that mean? Some people think it means the answers are right in front of our faces – answers we could pluck from the air if we only chose to do so. Myself, I think it means that the answers are unknowable, as imperceptible as the molecules on the wind. Of course, Bob Dylan’s explanation is as ambiguous as the song.

There ain’t too much I can say about this song except that the answer is blowing in the wind. It ain’t in no book or movie or TV show or discussion group. Man, it’s in the wind – and it’s blowing in the wind. Too many of these hip people are telling me where the answer is but oh I won’t believe that. I still say it’s in the wind and just like a restless piece of paper it’s got to come down some  …But the only trouble is that no one picks up the answer when it comes down so not too many people get to see and know . . . and then it flies away. I still say that some of the biggest criminals are those that turn their heads away when they see wrong and know it’s wrong. I’m only 21 years old and I know that there’s been too many   . . . You people over 21, you’re older and smarter.[*]

What’s Not To Love ?

My new home from Alouette comes with the huge wrap around porch of my RL dreams.   After I got pixel Gidge ready for her very packed day of shopping she decided that ordering some breakfast up was exactly in order.  She has her own mind most days. Luckily, I live on an island that has everything and it was nothing to get some coffee to go sent over and some waffles.

It makes me not really mind the storm rolling in for the day. Continue reading

What to do when they don’t make your color?

0327_008

Not every hair designer makes colors that are a perfect fit for all of us. Redheads encounter many Japanese designers, for example, who do not make red hair.  I really loved this .Shi hair style called Blown when I saw it on Strawberry Singh’s blog .  Joy LaPerriere is just beginning to create hair for .Shi, but has made gorgeous and unique styles. Sadly, they were in this monochrome, shades of blue and shades of purple. What’s a redhead to do?  Continue reading

Does This Mesh Make My Butt Look Big?

GOOD.

I have resisted the big butt because I just hadn’t seen one yet that really quite did it for me. I didn’t DISLIKE them I just was MEH, and thus didn’t warrant picking one up. But I was having a Gidgey moment this morning that Sasy was helping me with, and I thought DAMN Sasy looks cute.

I didn’t really realize that she was wearing a mesh butt, her butt looked good but in a subtle way – bigger, rounder, super sexy but not so big I couldn’t stop staring at the butt. And with that she and I were off to demo butts.

Seriously, that’s friends, the kind of friends who demo butts together. Continue reading

Adore or Abhor ? Oh ADORE!

Adore and Abhor are at SKIN FAIR with a set of offerings to enhace and mix up your regular skin options.

Sileny made, at the request of her daughter, a bunch of brows in fun candy colors with a Morticia Addams severity to them. If you were a 20 something in the 90s you knew 20 girls who drew on their brows like that. Now they’re in their 40s and sad that they have no eyebrows. But that’s a different story. Continue reading

The Color of Money – Well Our Money Anyway

Yesterday Sasy showed me that she was already blogging this adorable casual summer ensemble from Lacuna in pink.  When I got done weeping, because everyone knows I OWN PINK, I declared loudly I SHALL BLOG ANOTHER COLOR!

Well, it was something like that.

But finding a color named Linden Green was an easy leap to what to wear, I mean, how was I supposed to pass up LINDEN GREEN ? I also considered blogging this tank with all the various sizes floating around me, with the title MAKE IT RAIN.

I’m amusing myself a little much I realize but it’s early, and I’ve had two cups of coffee.

This cute little summer set is available from Lacuna at MY ATTIC for Match.  It comes in a ton of colors and they all look comfortable and great for beach days or whatever it is you’re up to in your Second Life.

This hair, also from MY ATTIC from EXILE is called 1985 and I confess, hair parted on the left with big bangs and huge floofy hair is exactly how I spent my 80s. The only thing missing here is the brittle crunchy look we all had from having perms in “the back” of our hair. I’m not sure why we did this. But it was a thing, for sure.  Kavar has improved on the style we wore for 2014 for sure.

My jewelry today is from MAXI GOSSAMER for COLLABOR88 and it’s a perfect compliment to my casual look today.
