Free Gifts at SaNaRae do not disappoint

Well I wasn’t up to fighting the crowds for Black Friday craziness but I will tell you this, free pig from Schadenfreude at SaNaRae got me dressed.

In fact, I rolled around and picked up all of the gifts – there were some good ones! I did a wee bit of shopping too, but not toooo much, I’m a girl on a budget.

My other favorite gift are these adorable glasses – they have a snow ON or snow OFF option, and several texture choices. Very thoughtful, fun gift!

I’m still riding the BakesOnMesh train pretty hard. Today I’m wearing skin from TULI – that vintage skinner who doesn’t create any more. I kinda love being back in to my old skins – I’m so glad i never trashed most of them.

WIthout a reason I stood around Alaska Metro’s store a couple of weeks ago collecting whatever G thing came my way from her Lucky Chairs. I picked up a ton of goodies, things themed for Halloween and things not, and I didn’t give a hoot either way.

Good quality and cute is always a win. Plus, Bite Me is not singularly a Halloween concept thus, I felt compelled to wear them on a Saturday for no reason at all.

Fly Me To LEA

I woke up this morning and decided I desperately needed to see new things in my SL so I ran off to LEA to expand my mind and appreciation of beauty.  The place I ended up was LEA 16 and you ride a little space ship (or a fancy space ship as you like) through multiple builds which are a play of light, objects and motion. It was truly a perfect was kick start my day.

I am showing off lots of new goodies this morning also so let’s walk through those. My clothes are from that awesome new shop POPPY and I know I’ve mentioned it before. The corset and stocking/shoe gacha from Azuri at the Arcade is a perfect way to start your day if you’re feeling like admiring your own ass, which I am.

I really do like simple, but nicely made corsets in SL and they’re hard to come by. A corset is a hardworking piece of foundation – it’s not romp about lingerie. It’s made with BONING (snark) which makes it impossible to breathe, and is cinched up tight to create that hourglass look. It restrains your fat (if you have it), it crushes your organs, it demands conformity along the lines of it’s own design.

W.H. Auden wrote in his collection of prose essays, The Dyer’s Hand, ““Every man carries within him through life a mirror, as unique and impossible to get rid of as his shadow.” Then he went on to suggest a good parlor game would be to look at different people and imagine the kinds of mirrors they might be carrying. One might be carrying a gilt baroque hand mirror, another a small compact mirror in a leather case, each of them, carrying mirrors that by design and dimension reveal their character.

I don’t know want my unique mirror would look like. I have one mirror that I purchased that goes over my dresser. It’s huge and heavy and requires two people to shift, framed in a beautiful dark cherry but free of ornamentation or embellishments. That is the kind of mirror I chose to buy, but does it reveal anything about me other than I dislike dusting? I don’t know.
