I decided to go out exploring the winter fun to be had in SL today, so I had to take a bit to get properly geared up. Cute but warm is the goal – it’s hard to be cute sometimes, especially in RL, when you’re layered upon layers upon layers. I decided to have some fun with my ability to layer on my SLINK PHYSIQUE starting with a sweater from Stellar on the body, then adding mesh over it for a cute RL layered look. It’s so cold outside, but I am snug as a bug inside the little snuggery from tarte for The Arcade. With a wall of windows facing south I get enough sun to warm up.
Of course, layering is the real secret to warmth. This lovely outfit from PixiCat for Collabor88 is not only warm as the rug that snugs the bug, but it is really an entire wardrobe. Today is my RL birthday. In RL I will spend it in a meeting room for 8 hours with giant pads of paper and electronic white boards. But In SL I’ve decided to give myself the girly day I deserve, starting with a luxurious bath.
My friend Natalie sent me lovely birthday jewels, in my own birthstone – OPAL – and I ‘m going o wear them all day. I love having a cursed stone as a birthstone. It makes me feel like a super hero with powers to overcome a curse. Continue reading
Everyone else is still snoring in their campers but I’m up early because there is so much going on! Hair Fair still goes until tomorrow and I’ve forgotten to go pick up the dollarbie Kavar from EXILE put out. It’s sort of a silly rainbow hair and I have to have it.
There is still time to pick up this gorgeous ‘do from Wasabi Pills also, in fact Hair Fair several years ago was where I first became acquainted with Wasabi Pills. It’s true, I’m kind of a secret kimono addict. Kimono robes especially, in my youth, were a very secret addiction. I love the feel and the flowing girliness of them, even the shorties make me feel feminine and pretty. PIxicat releasing them at The Arcade this month has provided me with new loungewear for my new house. AND this way if someone drops by I’m not completely disheveled!
I’m also delighted to have the new furniture from Mudhoney for THE ARCADE. This is a lovely set, perfect for entryways areas or whatever nook or corner you’re likely to slog down your purse and have a seat after a long day being awesome. Continue reading
Codie and I have decided that the only way to afford our ARCADE addictions is to get proper jobs. Standing all day in a hot food truck pays better than you might think. And we get all the fancy coffee drinks we want.
Now if I could get Codie to help out. That girl is lazy. I told her not to wear stockings and heels in here!
