Sketch the trees and the daffodils

0506_009

FASHIONART opens on May 9th and one of the fabulous dresses is this Impressionism Dress. It comes in several colors, but my favorite was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s fabulous Starry Night. Of course that made me think of the incomparable Don McLean’s song, Vincent.

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer’s day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul

Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land

The HopScotch on the wind pose set with the flowing scarves (sheer or opaque) are one of my favorite finds at Pose Fair. Best of all, they are modifiable, so i can edit the color and transparency.

Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free

They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now

The Impressionism dress has a sheer waterfall skirt over an opaque skirt. The sheer print over the opaque solid works well with every print and color used in the several creations.

The Color of Money – Well Our Money Anyway

Yesterday Sasy showed me that she was already blogging this adorable casual summer ensemble from Lacuna in pink.  When I got done weeping, because everyone knows I OWN PINK, I declared loudly I SHALL BLOG ANOTHER COLOR!

Well, it was something like that.

But finding a color named Linden Green was an easy leap to what to wear, I mean, how was I supposed to pass up LINDEN GREEN ? I also considered blogging this tank with all the various sizes floating around me, with the title MAKE IT RAIN.

I’m amusing myself a little much I realize but it’s early, and I’ve had two cups of coffee.

This cute little summer set is available from Lacuna at MY ATTIC for Match.  It comes in a ton of colors and they all look comfortable and great for beach days or whatever it is you’re up to in your Second Life.

This hair, also from MY ATTIC from EXILE is called 1985 and I confess, hair parted on the left with big bangs and huge floofy hair is exactly how I spent my 80s. The only thing missing here is the brittle crunchy look we all had from having perms in “the back” of our hair. I’m not sure why we did this. But it was a thing, for sure.  Kavar has improved on the style we wore for 2014 for sure.

My jewelry today is from MAXI GOSSAMER for COLLABOR88 and it’s a perfect compliment to my casual look today.

LOTD – 2014 1 28

The newest release from DE Designs, Inga, sent me running to the store to grab it up (and a few other things). I love the styling of the loose wrap jacket over the tight, button down the side, leggings. They work perfectly with the slouch boots from Maitreya.

Now That Holiday Guests Are Gone

I was expecting various escorts, pimps and blingtards from SL holidays past to stop in and was ecstatic to find a new living room set from CHEEKY PEA at THE GARDEN which features a HIDEABED! Seriously – this comes in SO handy when your friends and relatives who still haven’t found mesh yet decide to spend the night! You just CLICK and it’s a bed. CLICK AGAIN and it’s a bed.

Makes a clean up a snap! Continue reading

Scout Reports

I get scout reports.

I get scout reports.

One of the blessings of blogging is that people come to know my style and send me scout reports of finds that are “oh so Cajsa” and generally they are right. This time the report was spot on. In fact, why is this dress not named Cajsa?

1205_005The Twist Dress from Coquet can be purchased in black, cream or red versions. The white tube dress that  lies under the black, cream or red wrap dress comes in a lovely broderie anglaise. You can purchase HUDS that allow you to tint the white portion. There are three sets of 3 or you can megabuck for all 9 options. Add that to the 3 wrap colors and you can see that this dress has a lot of possibilities – and every single one is lovely.

Winding Down @ Shoetopia

nov30_001

There are less than 12 hours left to explore, shop and spread joy to shoeless people around the world because Shoetopia closes at midnight. Remember, you are not only buying gorgeous shoes, but you are also helping raise money for Soles4Souls – an international effort to shod the shoeless. When you and I want a new pair of shoes, we want it for reasons of style, fashion or sport, but there are children who want shoes so they can go to school, so they can avoid hookworm parasites and deadly infections and injuries. Shoes for them are not a fashion statement, but a lifeline. So before time runs short, go to Shoetopia and shop, shop, shop.

Space and Time and Shoes

1127_004
Shoetopia will be ending this weekend. When I logged on earlier today it was easy to get in, so if you have been waiting for it to slow down, now is your chance. Certainly one of the can’t miss items at Shoetopia are these amazing shoes from League. I love the rich texture and the beautiful details that are the quintessential League elements. League designs with a verisimilitude I love -the shoes are not too glossy, the metal is not too shiny. There’s little wrinkles around the curves and t-strap that show they have been worn a few times. That buckle embellishment on the back is such a great addition. I love every single thing about these shoes.

So on Monday I did a set at The Velvet in celebration of the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who special. For fellow Whovians, it was a delight, full of the kind of wit, warmth and good fun we expect from the series – all with the fate of the world in balance. I thought I would share since there is a fair amount of SL – Whovian overlap.

Meanwhile, I am still madly in love with the apothecary cabinet from Schadenfreuda for November’s Collabor88. I may pose with it forever.

Subtle and Deadly

When I was a young lady I took a class for several months. It taught us how to BE young ladies, more to the point young women. One of the things we learned, was the ladylike way to stand, walk, and sit in a heeled shoe.  We practiced in a heel of conservative style and elegance, and by the time we graduated, if you couldn’t walk in your heels when they were done I suspect you were cast into the realm of UNLADYLIKE THINGS.
