I have a confession. Pink isn’t actually my favorite color. I love pink. I swaddle myself in pink at every opportunity. But the color I love MOST is a delicious acid green chartreuse green, green of the variety that it’s got yellow in it. I love it. It’s one of those colors that melds well with other things and gives your look a POP. Continue reading

Lovely Excess
When I saw Gidge had blogged this dress, I probably should have changed into another outfit. However, I think that if something is really great, it is natural that a lot of people will want to wear it and blog it. We participated in the Same Damn Thing Challenge twice – supporting the assertion that even if people wear the same damn thing, they often wear it differently. Well, I guess the big difference is Gidge wore the purse and I did not. But I am wearing shoes! For all you know, Gidge could be barefoot.
A Wicked Case of Carpal Tunnel
A wicked case of carpal tunnel is keeping me pretty quiet as I don’t want to type more than I have to.
So, in summary, new cocktail dresses and evening clutches from Baiastice. Gorgeous and you need them – they’re at Collabor88. New hair from TRUTH. A great up do – especially for bloggers – SHOW OFF THOSE EARRINGS!
I forgot to wear earrings though.
I blame the carpal tunnel.

Yo!
I am not all of sudden adopting a new slang vernacular. Instead, I want to alert you to a stunning jazz album from Roberto Fonseca. The album is called Yo! and fittingly is an exploration of Fonseca’s roots and inspirations. It’s one of my favorite albums of 2013. I hope you take the time to listen. I am certain you will enjoy it.

At Christmastime I set up a little breakfast nook with some Arcade goodies I had gotten, along with a Christmas tree I picked up from a shop, that I thought was adorable. I loved having bite to eat while gazing at the twinkling lights, relaxing and just enjoying how beautiful my little space was.
The 12 days of Christmas ended and I cleaned up my decorations.
But the twinkling lights? Well, they stayed.
I can’t grab them. No matter where I grab, I get my house. I try to highlight transparent, and again, still just get my house even though I am targeting the damned lights. ITS INFURIATING.
There is nothing for it but to ignore it I suppose. Continue reading
Never Drink Alone

When Rifling Through My Inventory I Came Upon Old Hair
OMGAH A FASHION BLOGGER WEARING OLD HAIR! (That pic is for you Alicia !)
I am on the hunt for a smaller inventory but as I’m digging in and going through the lot of it, I confess I’m pulling out a thing or two and seeing what it is. This hair from TRUTH reminded me that I need to keep my eye on “boy hair” releases more often, because although this is an older hair, boy hair is always great for showing off earrings and skin because it’s up and out of your way.
The hair is a little older and a little dated (amazing what even months can mean now, in how we expect things to look, much less YEARS) but I had to give it one last spin. YOU SERVED ME WELL HAIR. Continue reading

If on a winter’s night a traveler
If on a winter’s night a traveler,
outside the town of Malbork,
leaning from the steep slope,
within fear of wind and vertigo,
looks down in the gathering shadow,
in a network of lines that enlace,
in a network of lines that intersect,
on a carpet of leaves illuminated by the moon,
around an empty grave –
What story down there awaits its end?
If On a Winter’s Night a Traveler is a short miracle of a book written by Italo Calvino. I am thinking of rereading it again for perhaps the tenth time. It’s written so beautifully it feels like poetry. In fact, the chapter titles, as you can see above, seem to make a poem. But the real poetry is the evocative language and the deep, authentic love of language that Calvino reveals.
The novel begins in a railway station, the locomotive huffs, steam from a piston covers the opening of the chapter, a cloud of smoke hides part of the first paragraph. In the odor of the station there is a passing whiff of station café odor. There is someone looking throughout he befogged glass, he open the glass door of the bar, everything is misty inside, too, as if seen by nearsighted eyes, or eyes irritated by coal dust. The pages of the book are clouded like the windows of an old train, the cloud of smokes on the sentences. It is a rainy evening; the man enter the bark he unbuttons his damp overcoat; a cloud of steam enfold him; a whistle dies away along tracks that are glistening with rain, as far as the eye can see.

Now That Holiday Guests Are Gone
I was expecting various escorts, pimps and blingtards from SL holidays past to stop in and was ecstatic to find a new living room set from CHEEKY PEA at THE GARDEN which features a HIDEABED! Seriously – this comes in SO handy when your friends and relatives who still haven’t found mesh yet decide to spend the night! You just CLICK and it’s a bed. CLICK AGAIN and it’s a bed.
