Thalia Heckroth™ has made minimalism and simplicity her design signature. But just as Doris Janzen Longacre was correct when talking about simple living not being simple, minimalist design is just as deceptively complex. Embellishment is easy, structure is hard. Look at the structure on this gorgeously simple dress. Look at the bodice and the way the sleeves are inset. This is a deceptive form of simplicity that is the hallmark of good design. I decided to go for pink, out of the many color choices this dress comes in. I was tired. Pink wakes me up.

I like Turn the Page by Nevereux. Page-turning is common enough that there are dozens of “Page Curl Effect” tutorials on the internet. What I like about this is the idea of turning from black and white to color and even more the use of a person to turn the page. The pose is active and dynamic, as though there was effort involved in turn the page. This was a great concept and brilliantly executed. Continue reading
I’m out on guard duty today at The Wastelands where some very poorly dressed girl is stalking me, just out of shot. I’m cropping her out because she’s on my nerves, and she doesn’t look good. I’m considering stabbing her with my fancy sword.
I’m wearing the SHIELD MAIDEN set from Azuchi which is coming to you from the Lootbox Gacha event. A shield maiden is traditionally a woman who has chosen to be a warrior in Old Norse tradition. A shield maiden will fight, defend and protect or attack as necessary.

Lelutka now has three different heads out for your wearing pleasure and each one just enough different that it expresses your shape differently.
I wear a shape made by my friend Gogo who owns Juicy and so this is me as expressed in each of the different Lelutka heads. I think Chloe is still my favorite but who knows what the future holds?
I think this illustrates how amazing Bento is for us though, no more “we’re all the same” argument for sure.
