Raid Your Closet Challenge: Week 2
I’m back with another “vintage” look for the Raid Your Closet Challenge!
This week I used some of my absolute favorites from days-gone-by. If you were in SL around 2008-2009, you might remember Plod. It was an awesome sim with lots of fun items, like this messenger bag complete with a little squirrel in it, and purses that dropped acorns when you walked. I loved it…it was so unique! Unfortunately I lost all my old pictures of Plod when my computer died. I wish I could share them with you.
These UBU “porn stars” are still some of my favorite shoes in SL, and I wear them all the time. They have a ton of customization options. This older Maitreya hair is still the best beanie/hair combo in my inventory. The Reek cardigan has a lot of sculpted prim attachments, but I love the color and hope someone does some mesh sweaters like this one.

Baroque Beauty
Giz Seom of Gizza has produced a trio of gorgeous baroque outfits with gorgeous lace blouses and sexy pencil skirts. Never afraid to shy away from mixing prints, the lace of the skirt works beautifully with the quilted waist and the rich brocade skirt. The lovely bit of chrysanthemum at the collar give it a perfect touch of Old World aesthetics while the sheer blouse and matching visible bra makes it fully modern.
Someone’s always watching
I’ve been exploring fabulously strange places lately. Allegory mentioned in a notecard that the land portion of the Silent sim has been redone as a trick or treating town, complete with a ghostly house at the end of the street. It was indeed creepy, but watch out for those comfy looking chairs next to the piano… I also explored the growing (and tentacling) beach party at TwoMoon island, and things are definitely climbing out of the water. I love this time of year!

Cross My Heart – I AM A Libra
DCNY has released a set of dresses for the Zodiac Event – and this Libra couldn’t resist putting one on and strolling around this great retro build. The dress itself has an awesome Logan’s Run sleek look to it, and I’m afraid that with my own birthday just days away I might be up for Carousel sooner rather than later.

The N-Core Sale Was Almost My Waterloo
It’s a quickie today but I managed to hit the N-Core sale before it went off. I have to admit that I went like four times dithering over what to get and finally settled on the two styles to the left and picked up the group gift cuz hey – free shoes.
Surely I’ll find a use for leopard print shoes, right?

Black Lace
I said it on another post a few days ago that i’m back into my corset mode and I don’t think i’ll be taking off this outfit from Necrotica for at least a week. I’m serious, I love it long time. It’s elegant and edgy..two of my favorite things. I wanted to add a pinch of color so I got myself this amazing Atlas Collar from KOOQLA that comes with an optional veil that I’m actually wearing in the pictures. Tweed and Layers
There’s a bite in the air and it’s time for the rich, warm fabrics of autumn. The wools, tweeds, knits that layer beautifully to keep us warm and cozy. This fabulous tweed dress from Fanatik can be found at the October FaMESHed showcase.
I wanted a bit of extra warmth with the bare shoulders, so I added a poncho from PrettyMoonS. PrettyMoons is a new store to me, one I found searching on Marketplace for red outerwear that would coordinate with the bold belt on the dress.
