After a long lazy weekend it felt like I needed to get serious with some SRSS BSNSS fashion and luckily there were new releases to comply.
Ploom has released one of my all time favorite hair styles that they’ve ever made. It’s got a slightly teased 6os style poof in back but melts into a dreamy whispy look as it’s pulled to the side. Last night I went for a wander through Cupcake, home of my pal Marie’s shop Milk Motion, among others. The shopping sim is just lovely, and reminds me of cute little northern European cities full of new things gently poured into old shells. The buildings and streets seem designed for walking traffic, with little arcades and gardens here and there, and the shops all entirely suit the sim. I’m loving what Marie is doing with mesh, and she’s always incredibly on-trend with her stuff. It’s a little like seeing Urban Outfitter’s catalog for next year, or Zara’s from this year.
I’m also wearing a new gorgeous skin from MiaSnow, her Walker skin. I am a huge sucker for her stuff and always have been, ever since the green and splotchy days (and I’ve kept every single skin she’s made). This one is a beautiful greyish purple like a decaying corpse, but perfectly made up like a drag queen. You can find it in the Marketplace, and pause for some black insect-like eyes too.
I actually got to the Arcade boat, so in this photo is my first item from Arcade, whee. Best of luck to all of you for reaching it, and getting what you want! The only thing left on my to-buy list are the Curio Obscura monster boots… More photos and credits behind the cut.

I hear there is something called “Arcade” going on today. Pshht, as if I’ll be able to land in the sim. Luckily there’s much cuteness to console myself with, including the opening of the awesome Uncertain Smile store (go see the stuff from Helena Stringer and Katat0nik there), and a bunch of lovely 50L dinosaur plushies at ~silentsparrow~. What’s that — I’m horribly misusing the awesomeness that is the Pretense Pose Area 51 Pose Box? True, true — but see, it’s spy-like AND versatile!

When I went back to Wild Texas Rose to get the slurl for y’all, I stumbled into a saloon. The saloon had a country DJ, and a lot of people line dancing. I’d never really thought about line dancing in SL, but of course it exists! How silly of me! (I admit I’ve only really been to the Aviary and the Velvet. I need to get off my arse more.)
I went to the sim because it was promoted in the destination guide, and because it’s beautiful. It has a little western town on an island surrounded by a river, and beyond that, gorgeous southwestern mesas — yep that’s right, I came for the mesas. They look fabulous in sunset windlights!
I also lured Gidge out to pose for me (that’s right, that ain’t me in that thar photo). This woman wears more half-naked than I wear fully clothed, no joke! Click the cut tag to see more photos of this lovely sim, and to see ALL THE STUFF GIDGE WEARS. 😀
This is my favorite cycle of Collabor88 ever. While celebrating their 2nd anniversary, they are also celebrating the vibrant and daring fashions of the 1920s. While some designers stayed solidly in the era, others brought 1920’s sensibilities and details into 2013. Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy gave us an updated, modern version of the 20s bringing the loose fit, the dropped waist and art deco details on the belt forward with a decidedly modern pair of separates.
Gidge sparked discussion the other day when she asked “Whyfor bloggest thou?” The general consensus is that people blog because they like it. That’s my reason for blogging, too. That’s also the obvious answer. Why would people spend hours on an unpaid hobby if they didn’t like it? However, I thought I might dig a little deeper and ask why I like it. Where are the rewards that make it worthwhile and pleasurable.

I thought I would share my first life fashion blog bookmarks in case anyone wants to check some of them out. Absolute favorites are Fifi Lapin, Paperfashion, Fashion Gone Rogue, PaperMode from TrendLand and the can’t miss Style Section of New York Magazine.
Well, it said if I joined the group I got a free horse. I was probably wrong to presume it would be as nice as the horses other people were riding. But, I was whisked back to 2008 with this beauty.
Also my world became lag hell while riding her, and had to abandon.
