It’s Friday Eve and that means it’s time for me to start thinking about heading over to my trailer park weekend home. I’m just raiding the cabinets for some snacks to take along.

Plus I need to go shopping. I always need to go shopping though.

I never choose brown, yet I always like it when I wear it. Warm and cozy, comfortable, browns are delicious and earthy and now that I’m swaddled in them I’m happy. For now.

There is a football team called the Browns. I’ve always thought this was a terrible name. I can’t get behind a color. How can I feel the ferocious violence of a sports team, and scream at them to destroy the opponent when they are just called the Browns? I just can’t. This is why I WILL NEVER ROOT FOR YOU BROWNS! Morning Coffee with Vic

My oldest friend in SL and I had coffee this morning and caught up. He’s one of my favorite people on the grid. He complained about how much stuff I have in my house and how it’s making him lag and I taunted him for how he was dressed and it was like old times.

The Real Reason for Braided Hair

My sisters and I know the real reason for braided hair. It’s not to look pretty. It’s to keep your hair neat and untangled. My hair would snarl if you looked at it wrong, so Mom would French braid it. I remember when my parents sent me to spend a week with their friends in Sioux City who were as close to grandparents as I had. When Mom was done braiding it, my skin was stretched taut and I am sure I had a mini-facelift. Under strict orders, I left the braids in while bathing and showering, washing them without unbraiding them – and sure enough, they stayed in place for the entire week. She had no time for loose, casual braids like this lovely one from Anya Ohmai for Hair Fair. A braid that did not ache for a few hours was unworthy of the name.

I smoked for a very long time, started out casually around the age 17 and by the time I was 30 I was up to 2 packs a day. In April of 2009 I quit cold turkey and never looked back, it was a great decision.  LUCKILY, lung problems and cancer isn’t an issue in my 2nd life so my avatar can live dangerously…and she does from time to time. She also has a smoke every now and then and this new clay pipe found at this round of Genre is need I say…smokin!

It comes with a nice hud. You can choose how often you want to puff, you can let it know if you want to blow smoke out of your nose, your mouth, your nose and mouth, or blow out smoke rings. I like rings.  You can also choose whether you want the tobacco to fire up red or not and if you have show local lights clicked you can see your face light up as you take a toke. Good times.

Working On My Tan Lines

I got it into my head to work on my tan lines, so I took my new tapeman from SOY that I picked up at the KUSTOM9 event and headed out in a new to me bikini from BAIASTICE. But I have to confess, I like the idea of laying out in the sun more than actually doing it.  So after a short time in said pixel sun, I retreated under my new beach tent from ALOUETTE. I get to enjoy the water and the beautiful day, plus my tunes, and I’m not burning alive. WIN. Continue reading →
