I am sad! I took these photos of the sim Carpe Diem Surf, only to realize that the sim is group-only. (I stood up on a high hill and cammed in to photo the pretty beach.) Ah well, so it goes in my new life as a nature-and-scenery photographer. I snuck in a photo of my avatar in an old Katat0nik bikini just to keep some “fashion” in this post, but really, I wanted to show you this pretty sim!

According to ABOUT.COM MaiTai translates into OUT OF THIS WORLD in Tahitian. It’s a rum drink and one of the most delicious treats to make you feel like you’re having a real grown up cocktail. It contains two kinds of rum for god’s sake.
Cocktails like that were made back when men were men and women were ladies or dames. Bliensen + MaiTai for Hair Fair 2013 has served up fantastic vintage looks that are elegant and true to the period they’re representing.

Hello! I’ve been away on a long journey this weekend, a staycation in my own state, and due to this my avatar decided to put on some hippie clothing and check out Winterfell Absinthe. I appreciate the urban planning of the sim. It definitely looks vaguely fantasy-historic (of an uncertain date in history, postmodern-gothic?), and I’m always a sucker for glowy trees and stone circles.
I have the proper boots for it too, psychedelic and beautiful Amargosa boots (my version had a bijillion possible textures) from Schadenfreude. So. Amargosa is a valley in Nevada, or a star system from Star Trek, or a municipality in Brazil. Now they’re boots, too!

So, I am not going to write about quiche. But this post will be a quicky and my college roommate pronounced quiche as quickie, so it has come to have an entirely new context for me, especially as she used it in the sentence, “There’s nothing I like better than a good quiche (quicky).” And of course, she said it front of a big bunch of people. Anyway, I am super busy getting ready for Love Donna Flora, so this post will be a quiche.
In my last post I mentioned that I loved this top from The Secret Store for Collabor88. To reiterate that point, I am wearing it again. It comes in several prints and they are each and every one luscious – as luscious as a good quiche.
I’ve been so busy designing my sim and then working on another that I’ve completely forgot about blogging. I felt pretty cute today (especially because I have a ton of new hair from the hair fair) that I decided a look of the day post was in order.

It started off like a fashion blog might. I took some shots of a lovely cocktail ring from Maxi Gossamer. I was delighted that it sits next to my wedding ring – I LOVE wearing more than one ring.
Then I shot the shoes.
And I had this THOUGHT! I’d do a THEN AND NOW OF THE STILETTOS OF MY SL.
Because, the world has changed. I dug into my inventory with glee planning to show you how far we’d come when I realized – I’d deleted them in a rare inventory purge. Which is sad, because they were really something. I’d gotten them in a freebie box at this place that had tons of free or cheap furniture and you could game there. YEAH that’s how long ago I got them. I looked on MP, so great was my zeal to show them to you, but alas, the great MAGIC BOX SUNDERING of 2013 must have obliterated them all.

I’m channeling my inner exorcist with this pose. I believe it was an early test one from Dove Swanson, it doesn’t even have a proper name. I still think it’s charming, though, and totally perfect for showing off Katat0nik’s new hair. She made it for the Femboy hunt, and it’s the first hair she’s made in three years — and her first mesh hair. (Katat0nik is so cute, telling us not to laugh at her adorable hair in her Flickr ad.) It’s so cute I even dug out Comic Sans for my picture! 😀

Today I dressed up in Helena Stringer’s pointy Dreadicorn hair and wandered over to the sim of Skye Neist. I didn’t get to explore much. Truth be told, I lied to myself that I had time before work to take a photo or two, but I was actually kind of wrong. I didn’t have time for that, and ended up short-changing both the photos and my job (*cough* traffic sure was bad today). Still, it was nice to take a mental journey before heading into Normal Land, and this sim was very evocative!
I actually dressed this way so that I could be Gidge’s polar opposite. She bought the white version of this Milk Motion Collabor88 dress, so I had to go demonic. See her pretty crying angelface over here.
