The Mad Hatter Goes for Baroque

The theme of August’s Collabor88 is Baroque – a thematic direction sure to bring dramatic and bold fashions such as this confection from Nylon Outfitters – the Baroque Bustle Mini. It comes in pink, gold, lavender, black and green, I had to go for the pink because it looks like a lovely little bonbon.aug18_005

My shoes for this outfit are a few years old, but never fear, they have alphas. They are the gorgeous and indispensable Dana Baroque pumps that have certainly gotten a lot of wear over the years.

The hair is also from Collabor88 – the Manon hairstyle from D!VA. You can touch-change the colors of the band, metal, gems and pearls to coordinate. I thought the headband was so striking that any other jewelry would be gilding the lily.

Besides, I did not want to draw attention from the dramatic Mad Hatter makeup from GOLA. It’s stunning, theatrical makeup that is a perfect style for the dress – adding to its theatricality and panache.  This is available at Vintage Fair.
