I come from a town with only one store and I can list everything it sold. Eggs, bread, butter, burgers and fries, hot dogs and onion rings, 3.2 beer and soda, minnows and earthworms and that’s about it, other than renting canoes, boats and cabins. Needless to say, it didn’t have a Black Friday sale. The next town down the road had a gas station and a grocery store though only with the most basic fresh foods. For something so esoteric as, let’s say, broccoli, you would have to drive 50 miles or more. With that background, Black Friday never caught on. I guess that leaves me looking askance at those who wait in line for hours to shop. There’s nothing I want that much.

On the other hand, Black Friday in Second Life will not involve eating your Thanksgiving Dinner while waiting in line at the mall or getting pepper-sprayed by store clerks in fear of being stampeded. Also, it’s more of a Black “Weekend” as the sale goes from Midnight the 24th to Midnight the 27th. Baiastice has two new items for the weekend – these fabulous boots and new line in her luminous skins.

I began my outfit with this fun little pants and tied sweater from Prism. This is a hunt item in the annual Peace on Earth hunt that starts December 1st.  I thought the bare midriff looked chilly on this cold November day, so I added an old sweater from LaLa FooFoo I found in the back of my closet. Introducing a slightly darker color than in the Prizm sweater, the outfit didn’t quite come together until I added the boots with the socks. You can wear them with or without the socks, but seriously, the socks tie it all together.

I think the pants and sweater have fabulous texturing. They look as warm and cozy as I wanted them to be – now that my tummy is covered and warm, too. The pants come with prim cuffs as well, but I tucked them into my boots.

The necklace and earrings are from Amourous – the Antiquarian set in Chianti and can be found at Vintage Fair, making this a THREE EVENT outfit. The hair is from Dura, a new release and the skin is the luscious Cloe just released by Baiastice for the Skin Addiction group’s Black Friday. It comes with 4 hairbase and brow colors and six makeup tattoo layers and a box full of fun options.
