When SarahtheRed Aubierre asked if any bloggers were interested in promotional copies of her newest dress I jumped at the chance. With typical laziness I have had her shop on my list but have not made it there yet. I expected to like it because the name was so smart – Vanitas Vesture. The use of the latin made me think she would be making clothes with classic shapes – and sure enough that’s exactly what this dress is.

One of the great classic dress shapes – a shirtwaist with a bias cut skirt. This is one of the more universally flattering shapes Add New Post ‹ It’s Only Fashion — WordPress– more forgiving than the sheath and oh, so flirtily sexy. This is the sort of dress Marilyn Monroe would wear. I love the fabric texture – fun scribbles in contrasting colors that add depth and interest. The shoes, by the way, are from Truth and are a perfect delight.

The hair, too, is from Truth, and has a texture change script to alter the colors in the flower. The necklace and earrings are from Petal Meg.

This irresistible makeup is Tuli's Hope. The particular makeup is Tequila - I can see the sunrise in the eyeshadow.
