Truth in Advertising

So I wandered over to the Floydian Continent (well, they’re working on it) to Tenshi Vielle’s CRAP Boutique conveniently located next to Fresh Trash. Sorry, but late night shopping can be a giggle fest. Tenshi doesn’t have a huge inventory, but the work is creative, witty and hand-drawn so I thought I might show you a couple CRAP outfits, just because the name cracks me up. However, as far as truth in advertising goes, good thing there’s no law that says the name has to reflect the merchandise.

This is one of my favorites in her store. I love this skirt. The fabric is a cheerful pop print and the shape is fun and modern – bringing a 60’s fabric firmly into now. I have a quibble however and that is that the skirt is no mod and it was too big for me.  However, thankfully, only the complete skirt is no mod. Editing linked parts, I was able to shrink the belt pieces and then move the prims inside the belt.I hope that Tenshi will either make the skirt prim mod in the future or add a resize script.  I also could not resize the jacket as a whole, though I was able to resize individual pieces. It is mod, however, because I tinted it a brighter orange to match the skirt so maybe SL was being mean.  The great thing about this jacket is that it is all prims – not using any system layers so great for layering with a long top.

Now this top from CRAP is gorgeous – a lovely gauzy romantic lawn confection that would work beautifully over a Boho white eyelet skirt or be just as comfortable with some old  jeans like I am wearing. You have to look carefully for these blouses because they are laying on the floor, so you might not see them if you just cam the walls.  The shoes are from EarthStones – her Troya slides in Forest. They are such great shoes to invest in because they dress up and dress down perfectly, looking good with anything.  The jeans, by the way, are from Opium Everyday and part of the wonderful Blogger Appreciation PressieFest that we bloggers have been enjoying all week.

I love the quality of the prims used to make Tenshi’s outfits. They stay in place and look right whether you’re standing arms akimbo or crawling around on the floor. That takes planning and careful attachment choices.  The jewelry with this outfit is from EarthStones – one of the many choices in the vast Sylvan collection. These are apatite and gold.

Again, you see some more great prim work – These are not sculpties but prims tortured into obedience. I took the jacket off to show you how perfectly the &Bean reckoner shirt works with this skirt. They could be made for each other. In both outfits, I am wearing the same Tukinowaguma, I just tinted the ribbons individually after selecting the hair color.

This is the EarthStones Bullseye necklace and earrings. I also wore the bracelet – and a bangle collection from +plus. The makeup is Curio’s Lovely Firehouse.

This is Rockberry’s Uma – beautifully done as always. I can’t wait to see this with freckles hint, hint and a closer look at the Sylvan earrings.
