Do you want to feel like a heroine in an historical romance? What are your options? You could go to acting school and get cast is a B-movie. You could track down Fabio and pose for a book cover for the newest bodice-ripper. Or you could click on the folder from Evie’s Closet with the Chimera gown in it. Much cheaper than acting lessons or plane tickets to Italy or wherever. Now, if there was ever a bodice made for ripping, look at the sweet sweet romance of the bodice on the Chimera dress. Riiiiiiiiiip.
ooooh, look at that skirt! Is that crushed velvet? Did they have crushed velvet in those days? Well, considering they didn’t have dry cleaning or great hygiene, I bet most of their velvet was crushed – even if not crushed velvet. The shoes that you don’t see are the pesto shade of my ever-reliable Paper Couture silk-wrapped shank pumps. I do love those shoes, mainly because they do not shine. They have a matte look that is wonderful. I know I sometimes say I love this or that because it shines so perfectly, but for some outfits, I like that matte look.
Okay, now I know that the jewelry is anachronistic but I don’t care. It rocks! So are the shoes, but I don’t care. This is the Whiskey series from Balderdash and the color is perfect. I have every color, I think I do anyway, I love this series so much.
