Many people think of vintage clothing as costume clothing – but a smart fashionista buys vintage that is classic in form and fabric so that it’s timeless and always chic. As Chanel once said, “Fashion fades, only style remains the same.” Illustrating that idea, I borrowed the top from a 1950’s Ivalde and combined it with a very 80’s pair of pants from &Bean for a completely contemporary look.

I decided on the super sexy Audrey Bare from Stiletto Moody – eager to test out a suggestion from plurk for skin matching. Under the Advanced Menu go to UI and select show color under cursor…and sure enough there’s the RGB value under the cursor. It didn’t seem to work with the direct entry (though try it for a good laugh) but it helped in adjusting the +/- RGB options to get a great match.

I chose one of my favorite hair styles, Ruby from Truth. I love the texture-changing scarf that lets you match up with ease. The jewelry is from Cihuae! and they could not have had better timing for sending a promotional copy. It works perfectly and arrived just in time.

This is the new Tuli Natalie skin – a gift for group members. The skin has a lovely fresh and innocent quality that I like.
