Sometimes the beauty of a dress is so self-evident that any attempt to describe it merely detracts from your pleasure in seeing the designer’s marriage of art and design and her balancing of the challenges of phantom flexi-prims with the demands of fashion. The Kungler Couture Passion of the Black Swan dress by AvaGardner Kungler is exactly that sort of dress. This is a dress that can take your breath away, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Black Swan
The sun is falling and it lies in blood
The moon is weaving bandages of gold
Old black swan where oh where is my lover now
Where oh where is my lover now
With silver needles and with silver threads
The stars stitch a route for the dying sun
Old black swan where oh where is my lover now
I had given him a kiss and a golden ring
And a golden ring
I had given him a kiss of fire and a golden ring
Oh with silver needles and with silver threads
The stars stitch a route for the dying sun
Black wing o black wing take me down with you
Take me down with you take me down with you
Take me down with you
Old black swan take me down with you
I had given him a kiss of fire
Take me down with you
I had given him a kiss and a golden ring
And a golden ring
I had given him a kiss of fire and a golden ring
Now I don’t know if AvaGardner Kungler is a Nina Simone fan – or if perhaps someone besides Nina Simone has sung Black Swan, but if ever there was a marriage of la moda y la musica this dress is it.

Wow!! I am without words 😉 I always spoke about how much i admire your clever way of writing, I am an absolute fan of yours, perfect! Isn’t Nina Simone inspirable ? ;)) Thanks for the nice poetry and congratulations for the photos,
I started a Nina Simone playlist when taking the photos and cued it up again while writing the post. Nina would rock this dress. She was who I thought of the instant I put it on and thanks to this dress, I have been listening to Nina all day at work. Right now, she’s rocking “Trouble in Mind” and I am singing along, “but I won’t be blue always because the sun’s gonna shine in my backdoor someday.”
All because that dress and her Black Swan song are now intertwined in my mind.
That dress blew me a way when I saw you in it, and the photos are even more stunning. Just amazing.
