Love Donna Flora in Dots

There’s a fun little polka dot dress with a balloon skirt at Les Petits Details cart at Love Donna Flora. I love how the top is gathered, creating a mirror of the bottom in shape, though not in size.  Continue reading

Float Like A Butterfly

Can anyone wear yellow and black and not have at least a passing thought of bees? While this dress from Les Petits Details is far too lovely to sting like a bee, it does float beautifully. Combining system layers, mesh and sculpts, it was designed to cleverly take advantage of each element of clothing manufacture. Continue reading

The Little Details

Yves Saint-Laurent once said, “Fashions fade, style is eternal.” The Ingenue pencil skirt I am wearing is a testament to that truth. Boring, just like everyone else, dull, they are all words I have internalized. I know very well that I am not nearly so imaginative and creative as some of the SL photographers that inspire me. I envy their abilities and most of all their creativity.

Devil in the Details

It’s trite but true that success and artistry is found in the details and, in this case, in Les Petits Details. That’s where I found this gorgeous and oh-so-romantic dress at Vintage Fair. Les Petits Details is new to me, which is why events like Vintage Fair can be so exciting – adding the thrill of discovery to the already proven pleasure of great fashion.
