A Highly Improbable Gown

Dance in the Wind

One of the joys of Second Life is being able to wear completely impractical gowns that might not be impossible in real life, but would be highly improbable. Take the Dance in the Wind gown from Gizza, for example. You can teleport from place to place in Second Life, but in the real world, you would have to get that skirt to end all skirts inside a vehicle to go anywhere. Well, that won’t happen. So say you decide to walk the 4.8 miles to the ballroom, the dress is so full of life and so sensitive to every pulse of the wind, it’s like walking in the midst of a white tornado – so that won’t happen either. But in Second Life, you don’t have to worry about transport or being able to see where you’re going so you can wear an extravagantly flamboyant gown.

Dance in the Wind

Of course it may swallow your dancing partner alive. Or hide three of four people under your skirts, but then who needs a dancing partner when the dress itself dances on the wind?

Every movement catches the light. So where can you find this magnificent gown? At Gizza’s Culture Shock store. And speaking of Culture Shock, last night the total raised so far was 1,421,966 lindens and there are still a few more days of shopping left. Enough to bring the total to 2 million lindens? Why don’t we all make one more shopping trip there and see what happens. If you went early, there’s a few new stores (Pink Fueld and Spright) who have set up since the opening. Besides, since the early rush has settled, there’s no script gate so you can go with all your scripted glory.

I added some gorgeous jewelry from Donna Flora and the wild updo from Boon. The jewel pieces on the Gizza gown are mod, making it easy to turn off the full bright that works beautifully in an “optimized” windlight but is not suited for shadows and darkness.
