Yesterday I had a mini meltdown. I popped over to Seven Deadly Skins to grab the group gift and immediately went home to try it on. What can I say, I’m a fan girl. I was immediately upset because my Catwa head wasn’t working right. It wouldn’t take the BOM layer.
Now let me back up and say, I get it. Most of my SL issues are because I’m being Gidgey and NOT paying attention at all. Firs thing to check – am I actually wearing a CATWA head? Did I push the CATWA head BOM button on the HUD? I tried different skins – no avail. I tried OMEGA relay. No avail. I asked myself “What am I wearing to cause this?” I scanned through worn items quickly but could not see anything that made me go AHA. I posted on plurk and received a flurry of things to look for.
I rage quit. I went back. I took it off. I put it back on. I went back to plurk to RAGE About not getting it right. Someone suggested TATTOO layer and I went back to my WORN items list.
FUCK MY LIFE.
There are so many things to remember now. There are so many ways to wear a skin. Base layer with tattoo, omega, system skin, applier….it’s like in going back to basics we’ve just added even more complexity than this Gidgey brain can process. SO INDEED it was that I was wearing a tattoo layer FACE that my eyes just floated past every time I was checking out what I was wearing. My brain didn’t register that this would be an entire FACE even though I AM INDEED The person who put it on.
Thus, I took it off and solved my life.
This is the 7 Deadly Skins group gift and this is really an awesome group to belong to. I’m a huge fan.
I meant to change my hair but you guys I was traumatized by this skin thing. Hold me.

I am super intrigued by the Linden Trailers ever since I discovered they have a faux Air Stream model. I need one for a vacation home. I don’t want to live in one, I just want to visit. My friend Putrid was good enough to let me visit hers and now I’m verklempt because I want one.
They only offer them on a 514 and that’s crap for prims but still – it would be a PERFECT vacation house. Do you have a Linden house? Which one and do you like it?

I grabbed this cute dress at the Fashionably Dead booth at Collabor88, and then I had to dig in my inventory to find pretty things to match. And boy did I find things! That skin, for instance, si from Clef de Peau, and believe it or not, I’d never worn it before. It was buried deep in a folder of “things to sort and maybe blog”, and I’m glad I found it. It’s very pretty and the freckles are a lovely option.
But let’s get back to that dress for a minute. It comes in a gazillion colours, but I was feeling in the mood for green. The HUD offers a lot of corset options, plain and embroidered, and the level of detail is stunning.
Puzzles, Games and Bunnies with some Chinese takeout
I decided this past weekend to jump headfirst back in to my SLife, whereas prior I’ve been just dallying here and there. I’ve blasted my way through new brands, gotten out of my comfort zone, tried things I would NEVER have bothered with in the past.
In short – I finally feel at home again in this pixel world. I’m extremely excited about it.
One thing I decided to do while I am playing with new things is start dragging out OLD skins. One of those great features of BOM is the ability to make everything old new again. I have HUGE regrets that I trashed my old LEAGUE skins when applier HUDS became the rage. Why did I trash LEAGUE? I don’t know. I trashed a few brands, Curio, and some others, and my sadness that they are lost to me forever is huge.
One thing I learned, by dragging these skins out and slapping them on a mesh head via BOM is this. They did not age well. I would say 75% of my old skins are very OMG WTF WTF NO NO NO. It’s sort of like that. The colors are just off, or not current. The look is too harsh. Sometimes they don’t stretch across mesh properly and it’s all just wrong.
But every once in a while an old brand reminds me how I loved them, once upon a time. Long since gone is Tuli – that maker of delicate, lovely skin. An old friend once described Tuli as making the “most kissable lips”. I was a such a fan girl, once upon a time.
I will confess that this skin still has a lovely face, but it doesn’t “quite” work with mesh. The line between head and body I can’t seem to overcome it’s always JUST a bit wonky. The thing is though, this skin was never meant for mesh. Mesh wasn’t an itch in it’s daddy’s pants back when I got this skin. So I’ve pulled the old blogger cheat and slapped on a choker necklace and somewhat obscured this.
I promise you, I’ll do the same any time I wear it in the future. Don’t judge me. Wearing Tuli is like running in to an old friend you thought was gone forever.
Another aside, as I ramble a LOT on this Sunday morning, is that I discovered a pose store I really love. As a pose maker, I was always completely reticent to enter any pose shops or use ANYONE’S poses because I didn’t want to be accused of ripping off anyone’s work. Even long after I closed up shop, I still continued this habit and I feel like it’s been pretty limiting. I can’t even remember why I stumbled in to Secret Poses but their Chinese Take Out pose set completed my desire to be eating constantly in SL.
I am a huge fan, and am going to be shopping there more.
And now, it’s Sunday. Whatever should I do on a Sunday? Probably eat….

Oh hi again! I told you I got both the short and the long version of the cute jumpsuit from Etiquette, didn’t I? Well here’s the long one. I chose the green one because I figured, for a long one, a lighter colour would be prettier. Then came the hard part, accessorising. And for that I went into digging mode in the organised chaos that is my inventory. I apologise in advance if some of the things I wear are old and possibly discontinued.
I’ve been buying hair from Magika since 2007 I think, back then it was already way better than what most other (now long gone) hair makers would do. I’m always amazed at how, with every new release, Sabina Gully keeps improving and renewing her style. This cute one is called Prudence and comes with a cat and a devil horn headband, but I wanted something more elegant for this picture so I dug up this starry headband.

I picked up this adorable bunny for snuggling at the Gachaland from Hopscotch as a free gift yesterday. It’s just the perfect size for bed time snuggles and coziness. Bellisseria is having a rainy day. It makes me wish I could turn my house around and let the big windows face the ocean.
It’s a perfect night to hit the sack early and just listen to the rain and the surf. Pretty good life, if you ask me.
I picked up this very cute nightgown from Seniha from the STAY AT HOME CLUB. It’s labeled as a dress but that’s a snuggle up, bed-time print to me so I’m calling it a nightgown. I don’t even care.

Okay so I had to pick up this silly pool from the Stay at Home Club even though I LIVE seaside, I have an affinity for pools. In fact – this inspires me to put a pool up for the summer possibly. This one was free and I have to admit, it does the job. It’s from Little to Large and I think for you family types it would be a great pick up.
As for me I’m enjoying adult beverages in it and finding my inner peace.
One of my favorite people in all lives, Putrid Gloom, is embarking on a new adventure in SL and she’s offering lovely summer soiree piece for you girls who enjoy both the sun AND the fun. Personally I like to go easy on both, but in this outfit it seemed appropriate to engage both.

I decided to end my night by trespassing on a neighbors wee island and helping myself to a picnic basket I found out. Just call me Yogi. A girl gets hungry.

I went out Friday in search of some dinner and to take a look-see around the world. I love stumbling in to new places, finding things and meeting folks. Murder City ended up being a perfect place for an evening like that.
While there is a bit of the odd murder here or there, it’s a great spot for taking photos and exploring, lots of little things to find and do while you are there.
I grabbed a bowl of ramen for dinner and I do confess, I was surprised that it wasn’t poisoned or the cook didn’t stab me. I guess even murder city needs a spot for dinner in between the murders
After a bite I explored for quite a while. There’s a lot to see and find here – and I got to meet the owner who says she’s still building more so I am going to have to come back some time and check out what’s new.
I seriously love this cat you guys.
When it started to rain and murder definitely seemed more likely I decided it was time to head about to Bellisseria for some quiet. Before I headed out though, I decided to avail myself of this “touchless” pizza delivery option. After all, by the time I get home I’m going to be hungry, right?
I really hope this taxi is headed to Bellisseria…what’s that down this tunnel….
