While babysitting young Sophie for Gidge, I was watching the snow fall and thinking about the coming Christmas gift-giving. Luckily I come from a family that has never been big on giving lots of gifts. With such a large family, it was pretty much essential that we draw names and set spending limits and focus on homemade gifts. I have always had a strong preference for homemade gifts because they are often so much more creative and fun to give and to get. While reading folks on plurk worrying about how to afford Christmas gifts and all, I thought it might be fun to share some of the things that can be given as gifts.

Yesterday i went to explore Mayfair, the first all mesh sim in SL and i liked it so much i decided to take a few snaps. So, what else do you need when you have a beautiful location and you’re in the mood for some niiiiiice pictures? You need appropriate clothes and accessories to match the coolness of the place, of course!
And i knew what to wear.

I love fabric with prints and patterns. I especially love the tone on tone patters like this print in Chantkare’s new Shirpa dress. To me, tone on tone patterns have a subtlety that multicolor patterns don’t have – but yet they are lively and add so much to a dress. This is a particularly brilliant example showing the effect of using a tone and then again, as though the fabric were turned to the other side.
